Gai Jatra is coming soon, and we Shajhaites should also celebrate here. Can you name someone who you think be the potential winner of the title "Sajha's Hari Bansa"? The minimum requirement for the title is he should be a Nepali and be a member of Sajha....just a thought....eheheh

Ye hajur,
I am bit suprised with your choice. I forget to mention the RULE#3 that the originator of thread is disallowed to participate for the SHB title. That makes the proposition very candid.

Poonte, the inimitable one, has been making others laugh, smile and have fun at least
since 1982. I would vote for him with no second thoughts.
I have this hunch that when Poonte, with his advanced academic training, gets down
to help broker the peace talks between the Maoists and the government someday, he would have both sides laughing so hard that they would have no choice but to wipe off their tears of joy and make peace for the sake of 2.4 million Nepalis. :-)

and i agree with Kalani in making a distinction between Poonte dai and Jiraji.
Jira's orginal, crisp, brain-ticklish, creative work compare nothing short of master pieces! Poonte dai's on the other hand is a different category--simply pet michi michi haas uthhne comments, and this is at all times, not just once or twice, booted by his extraterrestrial and gaine tendency --
Thus the two gentlemen making contribution(s) in two different genres, no comparson, but deserving utmost praise for what they offer to the readers! look forward to reading the exponential increase in their respective trajectories!

It is really unfair that you should post someone else's picture here in a public forum without the prior consent of the person involved. You had posted the same picture in a different thread before, and you did not respond to several e-mails that I wrote to you via Sajha then.
I think I at least deserve to know who you are, and how you got hold of that picture.
I would have rather resolved this issue privately; but, as I said, since you did not respond to my e-mails, I am resorting to writing to you here publicly.

Dear All,
I think Poonte has raised a valid concern re: privacy. Let's celebrate Gaijatra, let's celebrate sajha but let's not post someone's pic without that person's prior consent. It doesn't add to the fun, it takes away all the fun.

Sorry for belated response as i was busy in some other tasks.
Probably, you might be revenging to the serious issue I had posted earlier in this thread on behalf of all our sisters who are active/inactive in Sajha. But the issue i had put forward cann't be supersed by the one you have put forward. Some people seriously complained to me about your post earlier and I was compelled to alert you. Is that the language we use before our brothers, sisters, mothers, etc? Is that the kind of impression we want to give to our new visitors? As you know how the owner of this website putting his effort to create awareness among Nepali community in ANA meeting, and he even posted the outcome of that. IF some one 'NAJARS' those disgusting words and yet can digest, i have nothing to say. It is their choice. But, some quarter of population here including me don't want to be assimilated in their glorified F (FAILING GRADE) culture. Just rethink about how you feel in other's najar when you keep on saying that. I hope you people are not trying to encourage many 'BHEDA' to have a very fertile brooding ground here. Is that what you and your supporters intend for? Sometime i feel to take up the suppressed voices, and you might have seen how fierce battle i had to face. If you are a responsible educated learned citizen, come forward with benign ideas. I urge you to seek an apology or defend yourself why you are justified there.
You sent me several e-mails? I didn't receive a single one if any. I even check my junk folders in the hotmail before I clear it up, but also didn't find there. I doubt if you really send me any emails. Had i received your email, i would have happly resolved any issue there. I think you better accuse the technology rather me.
Now I am also curious if you are the one in the picuture? If so, thats a mere coincidence..I sincerely like to get an apology. However, I love to know and handshake the person and take he/she for a lunch just to know the person. I got the pic you are concerned with from a person who supplied it to me and had his consent to share on some occassion in jest. I had his consent in one of the internet chat. I am not so stupid to post without the distributor's consent. I don't have saved the chat script, but i hardly forget things. Your original pic in marriage was from Sajha.com and you are the supplier. Since you put that in public, i don't think i need to take your consent. With original Haribansa in woman's attaire, i don't have haribansa's consent. They are also available in Sajha.com's web site.

How come you recognize my voice and laughter over the phone and you say 'ko, bhunte ho!', yet you don't know me? I have more words to characterize this behavior, but i better stop here. Well, I haven't met anybody in Sajha in person except one. May be you are so versatile whose presence is everywhere like Bhagwan and meet. Do one need to meet in person to know people around?

Now I know who you really are, the agony of noticing a stranger posting my picture on the web without my consent is obviously lessened. The bottom line is: Had you had asked me before posting that picture above, or responded to my e-mails, all this would not have become such a painful issue that it is has become now. I did send you three e-mails within a span of two weeks when you first posted that picture (talking about the "maaruni" picture only!!) in another thread. Since those e-mails were never returned to me, which meant that your account was neither full nor non-existent, I imagined that you must have received them. They were sent via Sajha--I dont know if you have registered the same hotmail account that you are talking about on Sajha.
Let it also be known that I've known you only in the cyber world--never met you in person. I must have shared that picture with you years ago when we were MSN buddies; and it's truly amusing that you would have saved that picture for all these years, and should suddenly decide to post it in a public forum without asking me. Bhunte ji, I would have obviously felt a little irked when I saw my picture, that too a rare one, posted by someone I didn't know. That's all.
And no, I didn't know who you were for certain until I read what you have written above--about you calling me the other day. I had begun to suspect that it might be you (from some of the things that you'd written on occasions); and the evening before you called me, one of the other Sajhaite who seemed to know you leaked where you were from by accident. The next afternoon when you called me (second phone call in 3 years??), I asked, "timi Bhunte ho?" I was only trying to confirm my suspicion then and , as you know, I had to hang up quickly before any lengthy talk because I was in the middle of something else.
My apologies to the rest of the readers for this distraction. I only felt compelled to bring it here on public after failed attempts to resolve this privately. Bhunte ji, now that I know who you are, I hope we can tackle this issue furhter, if need be, privately via e-mails or phone calls. I certainly wish that this wouldn't damage our friendship, and even it has a little, years of friendship would help to heal it quickly.

On a separate but pertinent issue that Bhunte has raised (on a paragraph that I have posted above which contains censored foul language:
1. that was a quote (more or less on similar veins, if not an exact quote) from Joe Pesci in "GOODFELLAS." I only thought it was relavant to the context of the thread.
2. the obscene word(s) were censored with astericks (***) whenever they were used.
3. obscene words that are censored with various symbols, when they are not directed at anyone personally, and would only add to the meaning of a particular sentence, should be, and has become, tolerable on Sajha.
4. EVEN THEN, IF ANYONE FELT OFFENDED WITH WHAT I'VE POSTED ABOVE, PLEASE DO COME FORWARD AND EXPRESS YOUR IRRITATION YOURSELF, AND I SHALL OFFER YOU YOUR DUE APOLOGY.
Now, Bhunte, can I have my salmon? ;) :P
