Laato khanchha ek baldyang, baatho khaancha dui baldyang. Ma pani CANADA gayera tin mahina permanent resident ko jindagi bitayein. Tara maile ta tin mahina ma sabai kua bujhera kamaaraaa bannu bhanda aafno desh mai saada zindagi bitaunu theek samjhera nepal farken. Pheri ramri beehaaar garnus ta : Nepal ma gaada chalaune haru, bhariya kaam garne haru, tempo chalaaune, ghar ghar ma kaam garne haru, office ko guard haru, taxi driver haru, sano teeno hotel ma kaam garne haru - nepal ma becharaa dukh paayeko haru ko laagi ta swarga ho CANADA - yadi saano teeno kaam paaye pani. Ma pani US ma Masters' degree garera Canada paseko thiyein - Maile bekaar ma 8000 can. dollar ra teen mahina waste garen. CANADA ta US ko agadi -- narkaaa barabar ho. MOST CANADIANS WHO WORK IN US THEMSELVES SAY - NO WAY I'M GOING BACK TO WORK IN CANADA. Tyasaile, aafno aafno past anubhav ho. Kasaile kamaara hoona sweekaar chha bhane paisa pani ali ali kamaune chance chha. Mero laagi NEPAL IS THE BEST. WHAT IS WORST FOR YOU CANNOT BE WORST FOR ALL. BUT EDUCATED PEOPLE SHOULD BE VERY VERY CAREFUL TO APPLY AS IMMIGRANT TO CANADA. THE MOST OBVIOUS REASON THAT CANADA NEEDS LABOURERS IS - IN SPITE OF MOST DIFFICULT TO GET A SURVIVAL JOB, THEY ARE BRINGING MORE AND MORE PEOPLE - 250,000 A YEAR. DON'T YOU THINK, IT IS BETTER TO HAVE ENGINEERS TO WORK AS SECURITY GUARD IN YOUR HOME?

Hey LaataMora! Aru ko dukha ma majaak na garnus... We ought to bring the truth out so that we don't ruin our lives like our brothers and sisters in Canada. We are fools to think that those who are living in US, Canada or anywhere in the world are happier than those in Nepal. Even a porter in Nepal are happier than one in Canada, though earning lesser money. Happiness and money are all internal thing and depends upon person to person. Bhagawaan le Self-Explorer lai dukha bata paar garoos bhani prarthana garda chhu.. Ghamandi

There are so many posts complaining about Canada now. But I have one question. Do immigrants who study in Candian Universities have the same fate? Even in USA, nice job for a candiate who studied outside of this country is hard to find. So, I am not surprised that much about Canada. As I knew, even 5 years ago, that Canda has the highest standard of living among developed nations but the employment rate is very low (as compared to its neighbour).

Hi, Kiddo Believe me... whatever statistics you hear or see is excluding immigrants. They are only for white canadians. I'll tell you one strange resuts by statistics canada - When the unemployment figure was 9 percent in 2001, the same time the percentage of people on welfare was 12 percent. That's the funniest statistics in the whole world. I myself know about my friend who did his Ph. D from the best university in Canada and his thesis was honoured too, couldn't get a job for about six months. He finally got a wonderful job in US earning more than 75K yearly.

But if you are a permanent residence in Canada for three years, you could apply for citizenship. That way, the door to US opens. KE CHHARA, TEEN BARSHA SLAVE ZINDAGI BHAYE PANI PACHHI US KO BAATO KHULCHHA. HOINA TA?

I am sorry to hear about the unemployment stories in Canada. Here's something that might be helpful. A friend of mine was saying that career in Canadian Armed Forces can be quite attractive. They are always hiring, salary is decent, benefits are excellent, and since this is Canadian Army, you will probably not be in harm's way other than as a peacekeeper or unless Americans mistake you for Taliban. You don't have to be a citizen to join the reserve as long as you have the landed immigrant status. You will be signing on for 3 year minimum contract, and if you are in technical field such as IT, you get to learn and use the cutting edge technology; this being the army, they get the latest and greatest before it hits the market. Furthermore, in three years, you will be a Canadian citizen with army experience and even more options. All this info is based on what my friend told me in one conversation, so might not be entirely correct. If anybody is interested, it would behoove him/her to check out the army website and the recruiting office directly. I am not affiliated with Canadian Armed Forces, just trying to help, that's all. Canada is a wonderful country. I hope you can stay and make your home here.

I am from Canada and i agree you need mad connections here to get to where you want, US is better for Neplese, but nonetheless Canada is one of the safest, friendly and beautiful place to live in excluding the praire provinces though in my opinion anyways. And also i don't agree that all neplese here are struggling like hell, trust me i know many nepali families that are living off welfare and majjaley jindagi bityaing and thagging the government. ~shakes head~
