was reading the stuff in that link..and this line struck me:

Genital herpes is more common in women (approximately 1 out of 4 women) than in men (almost 1 out of 5). This may be because male to female transmission is more likely than female to male transmission.

Don't you feel sorry for those women? Damn, those horny men!

The last line of Mustange's message caught my eye ...

"LAMJUNGE SAILI GHARA KO PIR LE HIDEKO, PAINA MAILE KATAI CHAAINA"

An old folk song by Late Colonel Nara Bahadur Khadka .. quite nostalgic. Best known for his song "Besare Naniko", Col. Khadka passed away last year.

It feels good to see that folks in the US still have not forgotten the good ol' Nepalese folk songs, whereas in Kathmandu, we are considered "paakhe" when we show interest in folk songs in an era of Nepali rap and hiphop.

Going back to Mustange's concern, I am sure you don't have to worry about infection of any kind as long as you take necessary precautions. As far as I know, neither AIDS nor Herpes has airborne infectant. So, just don't get into any situation where bodily fluid might get transmitted. If you are female, layer tp on the commode seat before you use the toilet. Make sure s/he does not sneeze on you. Do not share drinks. Small things like that. You might want to mention your thoughts to your manager. By law, I do not think AIDS or Herpes patients can be fired, but the company should make provisions for the co-workers who might have reservations about the work environment.

In the mean time, as Vivid suggested, do internet research on the infectious deseases, www.webmd.com is a good source.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely.
