KCC has said that 2003 DV visa cutoff for Winners of Asia was case no #21400. So no chances for those in line whose case numbers were after 21400. KCC goes by serial numbers nomatter when you return the packet. If you are lucky enough to have your winning numbers in the front thousands, then u could be lucky otherwise It will be just "Aakash ko fal ankha tari Mar "! KCC has selected to many DV winners than the actual number of visa that are going to be issued in year 2003 and 2004 " just for the heck of it". Donot get excited only because you have won the DV- 'Coz winning this lottery could be impossible for some case numbers which are above 25000??? Here are some details I have gotten from KCC.After winning the lottery you will not automatically get ur visa, you will have to be lucky enough to be selected for visa interview. The criteria to be selected are as follows. Winner Case#1 gets the first opportunity to be set for interviewed. He could have 4 kids with 1 wife. So 6 visas are already out from that total 55000 visas, same applies to Winner case#2. Even if these 20000 pple are married without kids then 40,000 visa's from 55000 are already gone. Imagine What if all of these winners have at least 1 kid????? So case numbers on the late 20 thousands and 30 thousands and so on can have no chances. If you want to know the details call KCC at 606-526-7500 and find out for yourselves ! |

Kyaaaa... Format messed up. There are three numbers at the end of each row. If no number, then a dash "-" indicates it. The first number is: Total The second number is: Adjustments and the third number is: New Arrivals Sorry. |

It has a cutoff for Asia from year 1999 to year 2003 and these are real Case numbers who won the lottery and who also got the opportunity for visa interview. Other late thousand case numbers after these cutoff never got the opportunity! haribansa, How can one believe that the above data is authentic? I doubt KCC or DOS releases such numbers to the public. |

I am not sure if the data is 100% accurate. But I think it should be because I have called KCC myself and the data for 2003 is accurate. KCC doesnot mind releasing such information. My closest relative was supposed to be the lucky winner for 2003.They were so concerned as they hadnot gotten any response from KCC. So, I inquired on various websites and called KCC aswell. That final number does match this year's cutoff so I agree that the data is accurate. So many of us didnot know that even after receiving the notification there are other obstacles. My effort is just to create public awareness in this forum regarding DV! |

so has your relative recieved an interview date yet? One my relative had his case number in 16xxx and recently appeared for the interview and recieved his visa:) He too was worried that his case number was too high. Good luck to others who are waiting to receive an interview date. |

Nope! No luck this year! It was on the AS27XXX and cutoff is 21400. Too Bad :-(( They have lost hope now! |
