Acc to Nepalnews.com report, 5 policemen died (may peace be upon
whom) in an attack by Maoists in Tanahu. The police "fought until
they had ammunition". Acc to report, after the fight was over,
the maoists looted the arms and "ammunition" left in the police
post.

A group of human right activists "staged protests in the street"
and said "they were ready to do anything to oppose govt's such
action". The organizers said " the Regulations has hurt the rights of thought, including Rights of speaking, writing, publishing, gathering peacefully without arms, rallying, demonstrating and even travelling throughout the countries, apart from the Human Rights."

"At least five prisoners were injured when jail inmates clashed among themselves at Bhairahawa Jail on Thursday.
According to the information provided by the jail authority, among the five inmates injured in the clash were Bhoj Bahadur Nepali, Biswanath Sriwastav, Mustafa Musalwan and Mustakim.
The other injured Bharat Pandey is known to have set himself on fire after drenching himself with kerosene. The jail authority has not issued any official statement citing the reason for the clash. But, according to the other inmates Pandey set himself in fire accusing the jail authorities of misbehaving with the inmates."
