Hi all, Below are two real cases: 1. A relative of the person signs and mails multiple applications from the USA. The multiple applications are not detected, so is the false signature. The person who has not even applied, wins. 2. Hard-working, degree holder who is already in the USA applies for years, ADHERING TO THE RULES. He never wins. ETHICAL QUESTION: Does the first person have a bigger ethical right to be in the States? Does he have ANY ethical right to be in the States? How about the second case? It is possible that this person didn't win, because too many multiple applications were sent by the first person. OK.Diversity is good. But the Government when it administers such a lottery MUST make sure it is ethical and such cases like the first one do not occur (unfortunately they are quite frequent).

Immigration is not what it used to be. We are now talking about countries with many times the population of the U.S. trying to break down all immigration barriers to gain entry into the U.S. A lot of these "immigrants" are trying to change the primary language of the U.S. from English to some other. Spanish is currently high on the list in some regions of the U.S. A lot of these "immigrants" are trying to get the U.S. to participate in some damn war or another. Some of these "immigrants" are trying to get the word "God" out of the U.S. Constitution. Mention the word "God", and they will talk about a "Separation of Church and State". They think it is part of the Constitution, but they will not be able to quote any precise location within the U.S. Constitution where this phrase supposedly occurs. To them, God = Christianity, and they are all anti-Christ. The Constitution gives them a right to challenge it, and they will do anything to destroy it. If you go to their lousy countries and even whisper "Separation of Mosque and State", you will get flogged, many times. Maybe we should adopt a similar policy towards the anti-Christians here. You can't buy land in their country because you are not a citizen there. But they can buy land here even if they are not a citizen here. And some of these "immigrants" will only want to live in a White neighborhood here, because they are under some kind of delusion that they are too good for their own ethnic neighborhoods. Little do they realize what they do to property prices in an all-White neighborhood once they move in. Why would an English-speaking American family want to live next door to someone who doesn't speak English? In some Moslem countries, you, as a U.S. citizen, can't even start your own business venture. You have to form a partnership with one of their lousy citizens in order to conduct business there. But they can waltz in here, and do whatever they want, including terrorize our people. It is about time the U.S. adopted a more conservative policy towards immigration. There are too many people from the world coming to the U.S. And a lot of these people are up to no good, as we saw on 9/11. The U.S. is also doing the world a great disservice by luring away capable foreigners from their homelands. If these capable foreigners leave their homeland, who is going to get their Third World country out of the pathetic mess they are in? One good way to discourage immigration is to tattoo the country of birth on the forehead of anyone who wants to immigrate to the U.S. before they are allowed into the U.S. This will help us all identify where they are really from (something the INS can never tell), and it will compel foreigners to fix the problems in their native countries, even if they were God-forsaken Third-world countries, instead of abandoning the problems there and running away to another country to cause more problems, because it is the path of least resistance. The last thing we want is for people who are not capable of solving problems in their native country to come here and create a similar mess. Because if there were some degree of accountability, immigrants would not be able to masquerade as "Americans" and get away with it. Foreigners should never be allowed to disassociate themselves from their native country. That would be analogous to allowing Catholics to commit whatever sin/crime they want, and going to Confession on Sunday to reset their sin/crime count back to zero, so they are under some kind of delusion that everything is OK for them. Who is the bozo in the Catholic church that God has supposedly given some kind of divine right to, to reset the crime-count of Catholics to zero anyway? If there is no accountability and responsibility for one's actions, there will never be a desire for one to act in a responsible manner. Just look at the murder rate in some of these supposedly "Catholic" South American countries and ask yourselves if that's what we want in America. If a person isn't loyal to their country of birth, they are not going to be loyal to the U.S. as well. All Canada has to do is offer them a better deal, and they will all move up there. Which might be a good thing for us Americans. Maybe the U.S. should offer financial incentives for foreigners to leave for good. Only Americans who are born and raised in America should be allowed to call themselves Americans. Everyone else is an immigrant, and should not be allowed to masquerade as an American, ever.

I don't know why xserver is shouting.. What america is today is because of immigrants.. he should understand it. About multiple application for DV visa... it is ethical as long as KCC is not caring about it. In the second case, the hard-working and degree holder doesn't have any more ethical rights than the ppl in the first category. It's like Lotto.. you buy more tickets, your probabilty of winning goes up!!!!!

xserver--you sound very angry. US was built on skills, talents and know how of immigrants from all over the world. even people born here in the US come from parents or grandparents who came from different country. my american didi's grandparents came from different country. they don't speak english very well but they work hard and send their children to school and didi's parents send her and her brothers and sisters to school. they all professional people. each part of american life has influence from customs from another country. hot dogs are german. pizza, italian. some english words like information originally come from french influence. US import ideas to other countries, too. Corn is originally from US but now it grows like weeds in africa and staple part of diet. i actually laughed out loud at your idea of branding native country's name on people's foreheads. i imagine people at ANA convention walking around with "nepal" spelled out on their forehead like u.s. cows with ranch names on their butts. I am too glad that doesn't happen. also, very sweeping generalization to blame all moslems for 9/11. that's like saying all nepalis are bad b/c didi's low-caste nepali husband cheated her for citizenship. what about personal responsibility in your world view? Also it sounds as if you don't know much about catholic religion. didi is catholic and I ask her about sin meter pushed back to zero and she smiled. she says that catholics must show true remorse for their sins and also do penance before they are forgiven. they also are not supposed to do same bad thing again. she says she don't go to that b/c for her priest is just a man, and after all the sexual child abuse in the church, she not happy with church. anyway, america is great b/c so many people from different cultures add to the culture. this one of few countries in the world where people for the most part are celebrated for their differences, even with some small voices who are prejudice against immigrants. and people are free to become the best person they can be. just my 2 cents. gg

X-server, I kinda agreed to somethings that u posted...For example, being a U.S. citizen u are not allowed to start a business or buy a land in some countries...which is not the case if u as a foreigner want to start in the U.S. ( I too think it's not fair!). But, I do not understand why do u blame the happenings of 9/11 on all muslims/muslim countries? Besides, those terrorists OR Sahids (as applicable to different ppL. in different parts of the world) are justified in their own ways in the things that they did on 9/11. Every thing done in this life/world has a reason...they had a reason why they did what they did? Just like U.S. must or says it had a reason on bombing IRAQ! Ofcourse, it's not an easy answer to justify the happenings! What is ethical newayz? Everywhere u turn 'round, world is filled w/ unethical happenings. Sad part is NOBODY cares :-l! Nobody! And what is all this pride 4? To go into ashes soonerr or laterr, where one's knowledge, wealth or pride means nothing what so everrr! *sigh!* Khuda Jane! Gharmi Sis, Liked what u had to say :-)! "what about personal responsibility in your world view?" Agree, if each one took a personal responsibility keeping the world in mind...life would be so much betterrr!...But ain't happening! That was a thoughtful question sis! Take care!

The second post by xserver seems to be a post originally written by a stuck up white-trash in some public discussion forum. It shouldn't be hard to find the original piece somewhere on the web. Nice attempt to get a discussion going, but wrong place!

KCC is claming that it's checking multiple entries of DV application for a same person, and not letting those kind of fraud happening. Is it true that people are actually entering DV application for multiple times? I'm going to try that this time. I'm gonna send 200 DV applications for my friend. Let's see what heppens. That whould be really unfair if KCC is allowing that to happen when it totally warns not to send multiple entry all the time. WE hard working students are busting our balls to make it through school over here. It would take no time for us to be a good permanent residence and a educated and producative labor than a new burger flipper or a restaurant bus boy. If we, students in the USA from Nepal do not get more chances to win the DV , we should at have equal chance in a fair ground as people applying from Nepal.

Of Course KCC cannot check each and every envelop you send. For sure, they are not opening those envelopes as they keep on receiving tons of applications. If yousend 200 applications for the same person, your chance of getting picked up is surely high. But if at least two of your 200 envelopes get picked up, then you will be in trouble, as both will be cancelled!!!!

Sadabichar, How can you be so sure that they don't pick all the qualified applications? Agreed that they recieve millions of applications, but they do take plenty of time to process them and notify the winners, don't they? This whole DV thing interests me alot. If you have any other info, can post it ?
