Personally, I think its bit unethical for a news agency (nepalnews.com/mercantile) to superimpose (digitally or any other way) advertisement like that on a news photo. You can have your source on the bottom but to put it like that...???
It must be our habit of poster "tasnay" where ever we get white walls... even in a digital photo. Old habit... kukurko puchhar...:)

well, that's not new but this one is cheaper. the idiot not only put a big mercantile copyright banner in the middle... it is also in the reflection. what a joke! not only that, look at the top-right window/door from where we could see trees. that looks like a ground floor.. oh well!
and yet they have nerves to say "Monsoon havoc: students at Machindra Secondary school in Lagankhel looking at their reflection Friday, Aug 01. nepalnews.com"
NO, they are not looking at their reflection... YOU CREATED THE REFLECTION, DUMMY!

mitra 2 is right. they created the reflection. Mercantile Communication banner was superimposed ... but that could not have been graffiti'd on the college balcony which would have made it appear on the reflection as well.
Bang on Mitra 2, I had not realised that before I read your post.

I didn't notice that tree stuff on the second floor...I think that doesn't look right either...anyways.. So is it ok to say creating a news using Photoshop is one of the many things that Mercantile folks do for leaving ?

I agree. Photoshop is fun.
I also agree that photoshop effects DO NOT enhance the credibility of a NEWS source.
