Yes, the ADs are coming back to the US. This time they are coming here at their own expense. I have been communicating with one of the band members and this is what he had to say: a. US tour on our own expenses from August 26th onwards. b. The planned cities are, LA > Sanfransisco > Seattle > Nebraska > Minnesota > Indiana > Boston > New York > Washington DC respectively. Please help spread the word and help the band. They need our support.Visit their site at www.1974ad.com.np. |

nice to see brother rastafariya backn on sajha again. they are coming here to perform for us man. why else? they are also popular among the non-nepalis as well. and i also heard that their instrumental cd will be produced by a US recodring company. How many artists from nepal come to US at their own expense to perform? I have not heard of any. so let us help the band and lend our support. let Nepal be known for other things besides mt. everest and the only hindu kingdom. Jhapali |

Exactly why are they coming again! For example I love Deep Shrestha. I loved the first time he came to perform. Withni a year since he performed first, there were about 2/3 his concerts. I felt he should not have allowed to be cheapen that way. I felt same about 1974 AD. |

1974 Ad released their new begining of this year so they have lots of new song. Of course they are going to play some of their old hits but the concer is not going to be the same. It'll be different this time. |

Birader Jhapali, Makuro and them Sister Rekha.I is agree with you all peopal. Jhapali birader, I is not know that them coming to record here in them America it is them proud moment for I and I. Maybe I and I is gets to see them biraders this time. Maybe them 74 AD biraders will let Rasta sing too. But I is not going to sing. I is not wants them biraders getting them Shoes and Sandals along with I. Birader Makuro I is like your point too. If them peopal come again we is needs to look at how them going to do it good. Last time them came to then Convension and them peopal was in them Party mood lots of peopal make time to go to convension and them see them there. Them that time everyone goes to see them AD biraders including them peopal who dont lisen to music.But them this time them lots of peopal already take time off for them Other artist that come. Another thing I is hear is that them peopal this time was singing on CD. I is can also sing on CD same same like him Narayaan Gopal. Them singing on CD no fun. Sister Rekha I is wants to see them all new and old numbars too. Because I is love muzik. |

Rasta bro I totally agree with you. I want to hear both new and old songs. Their songs are not typical nepali song, it's different then others. Parkhi Bachu is my favorite. They are not just good singer but great people as well. Love all of them and their Music. . . . . . . . . . . |

they maybe nice people but their songs and music itself is so alien to Nepal and Nepalese culture. I don't see how they have made any contributions to Nepal's music.... |

Probably you is them Gunda in Daura Suruwaal and topi in Nepal and not alien like them peopal wearing them Jeans and them Nike shoes and Michael Jordan t shirts like them alien peopal I is see walkin around Kathmandu in majority of numbers. Yes I is see lots of alien peopal actually all over them Nepal TV is taken over by alien peopal. Oh I is see all them alien teachers in Schools too in Pants and shirts and tie. Rasta... its obvous that we listen to music for different reasons. Let's look at the Nepal through wider lense and see where they fit. you have to understand that Nepal is not kathmandu and kathamndu is not Nepal although some would say it is. Let me ask you what does the group name 1974 mean to you?? What does this mean to an average Nepali in Nepal?? The name itself has ambiguities and not to mentions their tunes lyrics. Their tunes neither Nepalese nor western. Nepali gaine, a street singer would have better meaning and melodies than most of their songs. Just because they are Nepalese does not mean they have to conform to old traditions but at least I expected them to show some Nepaleseness. I have nothing against them, but they have not presented themselves to preserve and expand Nepalese music and song across the globe. I supported Deep Shrestha twice in my town, even though guy hasn't had hit since 1974, that's probably where they got the name.. maybe you can tell me without before lighting that pot... |

Looks like Rasta have lots of time to answer on all the postings. THat's good but it would be better if he spends some time to improve his English and writing skills.. No offense, my friend... it would help a lot... Its never too late for some educations.... ALthough there are other groups who are far more superior they are atleast organised and have clear goal in mind... |

excellent point Rasta, love is universal language, I don't need a language to love but you know some are better at it than rest. As having rejected by many mayalu I thought learning newari might give me an edge over my competators , you know what I mean, If I learn learn the language maybe I wil have better luck... |
