y name is learner. I learnt the greatest lesson in my life by immigrating to Canada. Canada is a country where more than 200,000 new immigrants come every year and this has been so for decades. In spite of highest unemployment, the govt. of Canada hasn't stopped bringing more and more immigrants and so have a very very difficult life. Hardly 1% get their dream jobs, most end up doing minimum wage jobs like janitors, warehouse person, security, nanny etc.. If you have connection, only then there is a possibility of getting that minimum wage job. Canada is supposedly one of the most developed country in the world. But to me it is the opposite. Why? Because, the hardest jobs are the minimum wage jobs. If you work as a security person working at nights then you will get the same minimum wage as day jobs at the cost of your health. The govt. is not concerned at all because most immigrants do them. If you get a job of that category in three months of your arrival, you are most lucky guy I'd say. So my dear friend, 95% of foreign educated engineers are working the minimum wage jobs. I know an indian doctor from AIIMS, NEW DELHI who is a security guard. He always curses himself for coming to Canada for better futuire. The govt. has no plan to train them and absorb them in canadian society while there is a shortage of doctors in Canada. So one can obviously guess why immigrants are brought to Canada ? You won't find any white canadians working minimum wage jobs like janitors and so on. So, come to Canada only if you're prepared for the worst. It is absolutely foolish to imagine you'll be like white canadians. Lastly, not the least, I'd pray you not to become prey to immigrant lawyer or consultant - most of them are hungry vultures They'd try to make everything look complex so that they can squeeze you as much as possible. To come to Canada is very very easy - the reason is quite obvious. Does Canada needs skilled workers? I don't think so. Because the ones who enter as skilled labour becomes minimum wage workers instantly as he/she enters the country. Nothing has been done to train those who are already here. SO BEWARE! DON'T RUSH. THINK NOT ONLY TWICE BUT TEN TIMES...OK? GO TO WEBSITE : http://www.cic.gc.ca for application form and all the details. ALL FEES ARE ACCEPTABLE IN EQUIVALENT INDIAN CURRENCY. SEND BANK DRAFTS. Send the forms and necessary papers to NEW DELHI by courier CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION. IMMIGRATION SECTION. P.O. Bhunte jee, I also tell my friends and relatives that I am an officer here --- they call me security officer. Janitors are called Building maintenance officer. So your friends must be similar type of officers or lucky 1% lucky people. |

My intention is to prepare all nepalese who come to Canada as immigrants, of the shock they'd have to experience. What's the harm in researcing about this country before leaving Nepal? There's nothing to lose. I still repeat that 99% of immigrants are working the minimum wage jobs. I'll try to post an article about a doctor .... the heading of the article is RIGHT SKILLS, WRONG COUNTRY. AS SOON AS I GET IT SCANNED, I'LL POST IT. CHEERS! |

A question, don't you get some kind of financial supports from government, like unemployment allownaces, till you find a job which suits to your qualifications? |

Material comfort khojne ho bhane undoubtly Canada is way better than Nepal..but if u want somethin more than that Canada is not ur piece of cake.U can see Foreign trained doctors, engineers ani aaru k k khatra manche haru workin in a warehouse, workin as a security guard and doin all those shitty job...if u look closely than Canada doesn't want you,Canada wants ur offspring kinabhane jati j bhaye pani u will never be a canadian,u r and will always be a Nepali, although after being a canadian citizen u may want to call urself a canadian but u will never be called so...u and ur comin generation will be immigrant for life,i have frens who have been in canada for 3 generation and they are still being asked "where r u frm?",now these confused soul don't know wat to answer.Ur skill are worthless for canada...they won't give u a damn, maybe ur chora chori will benefit, free education and all that shit and they may make big in life....but at wat cost? They will never call themself a Nepali...moresoever they will be ashamed of their background and Canada won't accept he/she is a Canadian unless u r white.Itz not that Canada is racist. It the best place to live on earth if u r white...and whites won't ever make a racist remark in canada.Trust me Canucks are nice ppl...tara ur skill will be worthless(i guarantee),u will strive for simple jobs such as manual labour, and ur comin generation will slipover frm ur hand no matter wat u say.Watever i have wrote might be a bit paradoxical but as someone who came to Canada in his early teens and saw wat his parents went through that is wat i felt...this place is okay for me but i doubt it will be so in ur case.Life is tough no doubt...tara livin in a foreign soil might be more difficult.I am proud to be a Nepali. |
