The new King has sacked Dipendra's ADCs -- Raju Karki and Gajendra Bohara. Both Karki and Bohara were well aware of and seemed to have help fuel Dipendra's passion for the infamous "unidentified black substance", among other things. Apparently, Karki and Bohara knew Dipendra from their Budhanilkantha School days, and their relationship with Dipendra has now come across as that of goading friends than that of professional ADCs/Crown Prince. Defying the usual protocol, these two had been Dipendra's ADCs for a number of years . . . severely stunting Dipendra's emotional growth. Given the now-known emotional remoteness within the Palace, the people who seemed to have had much emotional influence on Dipendra seemed to have been these two emotionally immature and utterly stupid and desperate-to-escape-responsibilities ADCs. These people should be charged and jailed for being accessories to the crime of unspeakbale nature. *********** Though people seem to miss the late King and Queen a lot, few people here talk or even want to talk about Dipendra . . . which is just as well. oohi ashu

This is a good news. I also request king Gyanedra to consider his son an accomplice in the murder. I also hope that king Gyanendra pursue a proactive role in curbing drug abuse in KTM. I am impressed by a few decisions he made after becoming king. His choice of persons for upper house(legal/illegal is another question),his inclusion of people in the probe committee and the way he swiftly made the report public(remember those vulture journos from aboard waiting for eruption of popular disgruntlement at the time!) were all very good signal for the nation looking for stablity and prosperity. People should't be prejudiced against a particular person all the time. Our PM is giving safe haven to fugitive(Chataut) in Baluwatar and our opposition party is retaining Rawal as central committee member even after they were accused by respected house committee of misdoing. King is the person who inspirest the most optimism now, whether we like him or not.

Biswo, The new King's choices for the upper-house are interesting because he chose NOT a single person that Girija recommended. Instead, the King used his discretion to choose DIVERSE people with diverse backgrounds in law and international arbitration (Shah), trekking and tourism business (Sherpa), and business and economy (Jyoti). oohi ashu
