I will be in the USA next week as a student. And a brother of mine, who went to the USA in summer wrote this to me: "It will better to make a international student card some where in maitighar. It will be helpful. " What is an International Student Card? And where in Maitighar can I get it made? I'd be grateful if anyone could give me the info.

International student card is something you can use as identification for the time being. And also it will help you get student discounts on travel/bus / train around the world.

It is called the International Student Identification Card. A little green piece of plastic with your photo. Issued by student travel agencies such as STA and Council Travels. In Kathmandu look for Student Travels in Maitighar, in a red (?) building overlooking the roundabout on the corner where the road to New Baneswar starts. They are incidentally also the local representative in Nepal for STA Travels.
