Just heard in the news that there is a new school just opened up in Nepal call Neptech. Nepal college of technology. I checked out the web page there and looks pretty interesting. I think its a good move in there to have good education system where the promoters are the top 2 IT firms in Nepal. So that means, you only not get a quality education but also have higher chances to get a good job locally. American style education with hamesome pay job in Nepal without having to leave motherland, how cool is that? Beside that lots of schelorships for the good and needy kids there. Definately a way to go Neptech! My hats off check it out yourself www.neptech.edu.np |

Nepal needs a TOURISM school not a Tech school !!! no matter who and how they are teaching it, Nepal can never compete in the technical front. For that reason it will be the waste of money and time. I have quite a number of friends who got Engineering degrees and they are teaching as they cant find any other job. Not saying teaching is bad but it is Kinda when you have to do it as your last solution. So I think that people coming up with the great pool of faculty and so called "correspondence to foreign" institutes is just another way of scamming the public... I am sure the education is great in the institution but whats after college though??? Thats why we need to focus on TOURISM... thats the only way out for Nepal and Nepalese. thats my two cents -- BV PS by the way what happenned to the postings on someone feeling ashamed at helping the needy... I was out on a vacation couldnt read it that much |
