It happened again yesterday. I called my bank to ask some Questions abouy my account, but i never got through to a real, live person. Instead, i got stock in an automated maze with an electricnic voice telling me to "Press one" or "Press two." Since i don't know which person i needed to talk to, i didn't know which choice to make. I finally hung up in frustration. I miss the says when a friendly voice would answer the phone at a place of business and ask , "How may i help you?" An automatied phone system may be more efficient, but it certainly isn't more pleasant. Next, I called my friend Rob to see when we were going to go camping next month. Instead of Rob, I got his machine." I'm not able to answer the phone now," the recording began, but i just hung up. I didn't want to tangle with another machine. I decided to call back when i knew i could get a real, live person on the phone , not a hunk of metal and plastic and wires. I know that machines have made our lives easier, and automated phone systems and answering machines probably do save time and money. I just mess talking with humans. I decided to go out to a fast food resturent for lunch, but i didn't go to the drive through window to order. I went inside where I could talk a real, live person, face to face, with no machines involved. When the young lady behind the counter handed me my change and food, she amiled and said, "Thank you. Have a nice day." A machine may be able to say those words , but there's one thing it can't do: a machine can't smile. jus a "lil mo" |

To Hansy420, U think those peeps in McDonal mean it when they say "have a nice day"? You think people mean it when they ask you, "How are you?" Just clearing up, bro. |

It is hard to make a machine smile and easier to make a smiling machine. Khime you should press 0 if you want to speak to the live person. Usually (90%) ZERO is the answer to your frustration. Here is a smile for you. 8-) |
