Shailaja changes venue
Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shailaja Acharya Sunday changed her venue for observing the fast, from party office to her own residence, saying, "some officials did not allow the fast to be observed in the party office."
Issuing a third statement within three days on Sunday, Acharya said, "I did not protest the objection since I did not want to create a 'scene' there."
Acharya, however, has not mentioned the officials' name in the statement. "I will now observe fast at my own residence," the statement quoted Acharya, as saying.
Acharya is observing a 10-day-fast starting Monday to "regret" and so "purify" her parties' misdeeds in the past 12 years. The NC, till date, is non-committal to Acharya's announcement to observe the fast.
