1. Can't expect any substantial contribution for the Country from Maoists.

2. Who believes that they need to sendspokesperson to Europe for publicity?

3. How on earth can the topmost leader like Prachanda write such an e-mail request? Anyways, why is he writing to Indians for the release... I guess India has it's own regulation to deal such cases... most probably the Gaurab Bhainya will be deported back to Nepal.. and then it will be Nepal Govt's headache. Prachanda can make negotiation with Nepalese Govt not Indian one.

Maoists' appeal for Gajurel's release

Chairman of CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda Saturday called on the Indian government to release the party politburo member CP Gajurel, alias Gaurab, who was arrested in Chennai.

Prachanda in a press statement sent via email tried to justify Gajurel's attempt to travel to Europe on a forged passport, saying Gajurel was going on a publicity mission.

"Comrade Gajurel was traveling to publicise the party's policies and programs in Europe as per the party's decision," Prachanda said.

"Gajurel's attempt to travel to Europe should not be made a big issue, especially since the peace process in Nepal is being supported by the Indian government."

"Gajurel's release will not only be evidence of the Indian government's desire to establish peace in Nepal, but will also give a new direction to our diplomatic relations," a report in the Himalayan Times quoted Prachanda, as saying. nepalnews.com mr Aug 24

You can forge things for yourself, but, kill others accusing them of wrong doing which actually was illusion . What a shameful email?

In a very few days, another email will come with a note that infact some else posted email (hoax) on behalf of Prachanda....

It shows (the contents in the so called appeal) how ghatiya Prachanda is? He should have kept silence, instead claiming it that Gajurel was asked to forge a passport in
order to go to Europe. It creates more problem to Nepalis. Nepalis with foreign
passport will have to go for another level of scrutiny just because these burglars.

If they become democratic, of course the maoist can contribute but the path of voilence and terror is deplorable. They can be less corupt than the congressis and other political parties.
