Can anyone in Kathmandu shed some light on the upcoming "decisive movement" of the Sept 4th? Ashu? or anyone else? What is the mood of the general public? Is it going to be launched by the party workers only or would the civil society join them too? To me, a neutral mass movement by the 60,000 demonstrators and 300 organizations was quite significant. (Neutral: neither for the King nor for the parties: al for a peace talk) Is any of the civil societies taking part in the 7th movement?

I ask this in the context of the meeting between the UK and the US ambassadors with the political leaderships. That is, I just read in the news that the UK and American ambassadors met with the NC and UML leaders and urged them to focus on the Maoists problem first. How is India reacting to the renewed violence?

The curfew is being imposed in some parts of Kathmandu. I would love to hear from people in Kathmandu and their reaction to the new situation.
