Kuensel reports:

Bhutan and Nepal have agreed, through diplomatic channels, that the foreign ministers of the two countries will hold informal talks during the United Nations General Assembly later this month (i.e. September 2003).

[All you Nepali folks out there in the U.S.A., do contact your UN rep or Nepal embassy for details and go to UN in full force to lend your moral support to the Bhutanese refugees' cause. How about a Sajha extravaganza, this time for a cause, at the UN gate.

FYI, Some 100,000 plus Bhutanese refugees of Nepali origin are languishing in UNHCR camps in eastern Nepal. While you're at it, grab yourself a book by Michael Hutt, The Unbecoming Citizen.]
