Women save headmaster

Grass collector women Tuesday saved the life of a headmaster in a jungle near Birgunj, when the Maoists were about to kill the schoolteacher, reports said.

The brave women saw the Maoists shooting the headmaster, Gopal Shah, on his stomach and chest. The women intervened when the Maoists finally tried to kill Shah with a khukri.

The women used their sickles; counter attacked the Maoists and made them run away, reports said. Shah, whom the Maoists had brought them after abduction, was then safely rescued. nepalnews.com mr Sept 9

Yes,
what ever was the truth behind, the news indicate that a single sickle weilding grass-collecting women could chase away (there must have been atleast few of those killers) armed arsonists. It is a fine example to all others that opression only needs a single act of courage to scare it.
Salute to the brave lady, who could have failed to achieve what she did and could have lost everything she had, honour and life. Society should encourage such bravery and duly acknowledge by rewarding them.

Its indeed a great news and example. This shows who maoists are and what is the public opinion on them. Like in Punjab, one day these Maoists will be chased by public and this problem will slowly return to control.

Send this news to as many friends as possible and honor the bravery of those two women.

My previous post sounded too sarcastic. Sarcasm was not intended. It was just a plain question. Pls don't take it otherwise.
