Dear all, Sorry to start a new thread on a topic that's just irrelevant to many of the visitors. Is there any Sajhaites in Beijing? I am dying to meet a nepali, however there are none in my school. So, if people going to schools in Beijing are reading this, please send me an email, or come by my dorm for some beer. My address: Shaoyuan (San Hal Lou) 3-208 Peking University (bei da) Wo hai mei mai shou ji, so meiyou dian hua hao ma. Anyways, SuvaChintak what's happening with your plan to visit China. Fortunately, my holidays start from the 28th of this month. Ashu dai, Found a good deal on Innwer Mongolia travel. I'll send you the details in a seperate mail.

dogz, What a useful tip I thought when I began reading your posting. I was actually thinking of asking my Chinese neighbor to write me some 10 -12 of the most commonly used Chinese phrases before leaving for China. When I got to 'Wai So Dim', I knew dogz was pulling my leg! Man, you cracked me up! But I am not going to practice any of your phrases on the Chinese, they might then really crack me good...especially the 'Chin Tu Fat'! Keep up the good humor buddy! Now I got to run to prepare for the China conference. SC

IF jyu, My travel details have finally come through, I will arrive in the fair city of Beijing on 10/1/03. I will be engaged with the conference for the next four days. Then on the 4th or the 5th, we can make a beeline for our date with the Great Khan's female descendents in Inner Mongolia. We can then just move south and east for the next week or so and arrive to partake of the decadence of Shanghai, the Whole of the East. KaleKrishna jyu, Your comment on virility is tangentially related to the focus of this conference: We are trying to ascertain the impact of new sexual enhancement drugs on China's one-child policy. Since the emerging middle class began to adopt Viagra as a daily nutritional supplement over the past couple of years, the WHO and the Chinese Ministry of Population have been concerned about its impact on fertility rates. Available statistics suggest that the frequency of Chinese copulation - both in and out of matrimony - has quadrupled over the past three years. Even though the sale of contraceptives has also spiked over the same period by roughly the same ratio, valid concerns have been raised whether the condom (contraceptive of choice for the Chinese bourgeoise) designed during the pre-Viagra era can withstand the increased strains and stresses of a drug-induced frenzy. The introduction of Viagel, the new revolutionary drug that promises enhanced and extended orgasms for the females, is expected to further compromise even the most sturdy latext contraceptive accessory. According to recent laboratory tests, the sheer heat, duration, and structural tension generated by the combined effects of Viagra and Viagel is sufficient to shred over 78.02 percent of the condom brands in the market (Dhaal is an exception to this trend...it lets through neither semens, nor any senssation!). As you can see, this is an issue that will impact the whole world due to higher rates of pupulation growth. So fellow Sajhites, if you have any personal or anecdotal evidence about the impact of Viagra/Viagel, I urge you to pass it to me on this forum, your privacy will be utterly respected. Your timely disclosure could save humanity from the Malthusian armageddon...so do your bit for mankind before it is too late. dogz jyu, I nominate you for the best humor of the month! It was first rate! Poonte jyu, Now I know why you love to shuttle between NY and DC so frequently. You go to Jackson Heights and get the resident Habsini maiya to give you a mighty shove that lands you in DC. On the return trip, the Campus Kali is only too happy to get you ballistic back to NY. Kasto ramro Poonte kaida, jatti garyo utti faida! Ssssss, we don't want to let bhabi jyu know about this mode of transportation, do we? Thank you for the warm clothing. And I will definitely remember to bring you some Chinese talu tonic and bagh ko aphrodia[sic]!! Glad you are back in Sajha, we need more of your wit here! Sitara jyu, Thank you so much for your travel tips and wishes for this journey, I will definitely keep them in mind once I step on the steppe. As per your earlier suggestion, I intend to do no more driving in Mongolia, so rest assured on that score! If they be such good riders...all they will hear from me is 'Baby you can drive my car.' Since I am not a man who has to assert his virility by being in control, I will let them Khan maidens be in charge...the perfect laid-back guy. Keep shining your Sitara self and I am sure to be safe. Glad you are back again! SC

Marriage in Mongolia...ummmm, sounds interesting, no? I will suggest this to the Great Khan's daughter, lets see what she thinks about it! About your food tips...let's see if I can bring myself to handle the horse bbq. Maybe my sense of adventure will get the bettter of me once I get into the tent. But I am definitely looking forward to all things from and of milk! Any other tips are welcome! SC, the footloose

I salute your achievement sir! But I will get back to you tomorrow. I enjoyed your comment on Yadav jyu's egg problem...let us pray that it is not too big! SC

"Yes, the camel ride...except that I am getting rather cold feet about the hump! Any remedial riding you can think of to get my cofidence back? " Suva Chintak You could try starving your camel so that the hump de-bumps, making it look an overgrown llama. Perhaps, your " humping" phobia will dissipate then. However, the risk in de-humping a camel might be that you might become the camel's next meal. As for the joint venture in writing, you could write your erudite travelogue and I would contribute the epilogue on "Lawrence of Mongolia: Post Mongolia's Numb Bum Syndrome" :P

SC ji, Performance anxiety, is it? With all this talk about humping and riding, it would be a travesty if the camel is the only one that sees any action on this trip.

Dear John Doe jyu wrote: "SC ji, Performance anxiety, is it? With all this talk about humping and riding, it would be a travesty if the camel is the only one that sees any action on this trip." I must say you put your finger right on the ball! You see, whenver I cross national boundaries for the first time, I get cramped with performance anxiety to no ends. You never know what to offer, and for some reason the guide books never ever include this vital piece of information. So intrepid travellers like us are left to the mercy of trial-and-error method. These things are so region specific you know, what is a 'oooh ummmm oooooh' rating from a South Asian sultry siren might never get past a 'boo boo' from a Amazonian maiden. You got to adopt to the local way of doing things, kind of respecting the local cultural traditions, you know what I mean. It takes about a solid 24 hours to figure out the ins and outs of the local dialect, but I do eventually get there. But I must admit those 24 hours can be quite nerve-racking, such as (Dude, the front door is like, on the other side, whatever!). Rest assured Sir, I will make sure that a few others besides the camel see some fireworks this trip and you get the score cards post-haste!! SC, InJest

Aww, Suva Chintak jyu, here i was thinking the conference was a reproductive health conference focusing on the well being of women and neonates, and was leaned on attending but this now, sounds like a population control confererence, is it by any chance called? "Post Modern Malthuism--a New Challenge to Population Control", A case study in China by Suva Chintak Very samaya-saapakchhyak, demanding and imperative issue you present by addressing the impact of viagra on populace increase, BUT because the reproductive health radically shifted its paradigm at the 1992 Cairo conference on ICPD, advocating to focus women's health in a holistic approach rather than just controlling population, and that how many children a family wants should be left to them as opposed to imposing in via policy. In case the key actors/actress of the ICPD, Adraine Germaine et al. attend the conference, aankha tarlaan hai hajur, hosiyaar ps.---Mangolia tira "bhauju" bhetaamea malai pani khabar garibaksela--New Road ko Namuna Tailors maa gaera euta cholo ra jaama silauna dinchhu, arko saal janti jaana! And btw, when and if your Indi Mastaa is hiring waitress do let me know hai--testo bidesh bhraman garna pathhai rahane sahuji raichha, mero pani bhavisya, bartamaan ujyaalo hunthhyo ki :P In jest ;) Serious note maa chahi Paani, Jameen, "conference",Magolia sabai tira safaltaa milos! Najar stuck at home and hence catching up on sajha readings on the first day of a 3-day nepal bandha!

SC, you seem to have quite a penchant for mixing bizness with pleasure. Your zeal for the exploration of unchartered territory deserves applaud, and as for the back door/front door dilemma, I just have one peice of advice - when in doubt, just ask! ;)
