Almost two years have elapsed when I first got fascinated by the blurry roots of pseudoscience. I was doing a project on tarot cards at the time, and it came to coincide with our popular Miss Cleo Scandal and her downfall, which her cards failed to warn her. Next came John Edwards, whose popular show --crossing over-- was making a fortune on sci fi channel by making a mockery of peoples' emotions. Despite their major flaws which are crystal clear as can be, we continue to succumb to these con artists wholeheartedly. Living at the cutting age of electronic and scientific breakthroughs, we still resort to pictorial windows (as some pundits want to call them) to know about ourselves.

I have had many heated discussions with my sister on these topics--especially on Satya Sai Baba. Then I also realized, there's no point questioning ones' faith especially if its giving someone eternal bliss. After all, we all try to cling to things that make us happy in life. But then I cannot suppress my skeptism when someone claims to produce shiva linga from her mouth, and of course other miraculous feats which makes Newton, Einstein, Watson & Cricks' models which have been replicated universally seem like a bunch of choirsongs. Oh well! if we start giving supernatural connotations to magic, then that guy who performs outside the jawalakhel zoo would make a decent living as well.

Here's something about astrology, sajhaites might be utterly intersted about ;)

OH almost forgot to mention! there's a James Randi foundation which offers a million dollars to those who perform miraculous feats like producing shiva linga from her mouth. If she could only do that under his scrutinization ! but then the person is not doing this for MONEY RITE? for sake of HUMANITY? YES YES, I HEAR YA!
