Few months back someone wanted to find out why there was so little participation from Nepal. There could be many reasons for this, but one biggest reason is the lack of publicity. Hence in order to solicit more participation from visitors based in Nepal, we have placed an ad on yesterday's Himalayan Times (shown below). Over the years, we have seen increasing participation from Nepal - although not much percentage-wise. Thanks especially to members of sajha for recommending the site to their friends and acquaintances through their words of mouth. Please help spread the word - as they say, "the more, the merrier". Wishing everyone a very Happy Vijaya Dashami! Warm wishes, San

Good job, San. Way to go!! Already some people in Nepal are reacting informally to Sajha postings. CK Lal Dai, for one, read some of my comments on Sajha regarding one of his articles, and he and I had had a brief conversation about them last week. I understand -- from anecdotal evidence -- that Nepe's thesis on "why republicanism" is circulating in the email network in Kathmandu. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

It is true that there is lesser participation from within Nepal but there IS some participation nevertheless. Ashu dai has been a regular from Nepal. I also used to post when I was still in Nepal. I think there are many others who do so even now. Happy Vijaya Dashami to All.

Good ad, San. Good to have more participation from Nepal. Though of course we'll have to beware more about what we post at 2 in the morning so that we're not relentlessly quoted by all our younger cousins back home ;)

btw, have you considered putting an ad in the Kathmandu Post? That may have the bigger voice in the villages and towns in Nepal... or how about Wave magazine?

San, Happy Dashain! It is nice to see sajha.com in Nepali media. How about buying a small space in Mercantile's nepalnews.com?? Or may be sajha may barter with mercantile for ads banner..Many Nepali around the globe including Nepal visit there.....just a suggestion.
