Another disaster after 2000 elections! God help Americans, give them some "Buddhi"!!
u_day Posted on 08-Oct-03 11:29 AM

Is he going to be a TAXINIMATOR or a ALLIANATOR ....?
Prajesh Posted on 08-Oct-03 11:53 AM

Let's see how much he will cut from my Hummer (I mean Ford Windstar) registration tax. Currently it stands outragious $301.00!
dautari Posted on 08-Oct-03 02:13 PM

That will probably prompt Shiva Shrestha and Rabindra Khadka to once again think about running for a Mayor. Maybe Rabindra Khadka will muster more votes than he did a few years ago.
nepali_angel Posted on 08-Oct-03 04:32 PM

So, Shwarzenegger has jingled all the way to the top eh?
Poonte Posted on 08-Oct-03 04:53 PM

No, angel...he gropped his way all the way to the top! ehhehe
Rosie Posted on 08-Oct-03 06:08 PM

Lol...lol...lol...Good one Poonte. What a sick scoundrel Arnold is. His stories of having exploited so many women is disgusting.
nepali_angel Posted on 08-Oct-03 06:49 PM

Sick scoundrel? At least he had the courage to apologize for his past actions, unlike Mr. Clinton, who had sex in his office with an intern, and lied under oath when he was queried on the matter. This reeks of partisanship more than ideology. What a crock!

This time, smearing someone's name back fired. That was a good deal, you know. You don't post such searing affairs the Thursday before the Tuesday, as Susan Estridge so eloquently put it.
dautari Posted on 08-Oct-03 06:52 PM

stories of ANYONE having exploited many women (or women exploiting men) is disgusting. We can't just single out Clintons or Schwarzeneggers just because they are high-ranking. What Schwarzenegger (I can't spell his name) did was not right, of course. However, let's stop and think about it. Female body parts are exploited everywhere - especially in entertainment / media. We have a scantily clad woman in a motorbike ad. WWE shows exploit women more than anyone else. In the movies, women are disrobed at the drop of a hat. In a world that exploits women like this, it's not surprising that people like Arnold behave like that.

That's what I think.
Rosie Posted on 08-Oct-03 07:03 PM

Thank you Dautari. I couldn't have said it better. Just because the sicko was trying to play the "sorry" trump card by apologizing before the polls, it doesn't justify anything. Morality and virtue are not relative; just because a person is less indecent than another doesn't mean that the person is decent.
nepali_angel Posted on 08-Oct-03 07:04 PM

No, that doesn't mean you can touch a woman's body just like that. I rather that you keep your hands to yourself. But the thing that bugs me is why Arnold didn't get sued if he was such a womanizer. I think it has to do with the one-year rule, that if you don't report sexual assault/harrassment within a year, you can't pursue it anymore(am I correct on this one?). So basically it just boils down to 15(or more?) women jumping onto the bandwagon to gain some fame. It's all a ploy, just like Mary Carey the pornstar was a candidate for California governor, for fame.
khimu Posted on 08-Oct-03 08:23 PM

llcoola Posted on 09-Oct-03 08:03 AM

The only thing that I am sympathizing myself is because that is also a foreigner in this country with a heavy accent( I mean, He can't even say California properly) and made it up to the governer of the most powerful state. This will give lots of hope and confident to all migrated ppl here in US. I am aware that he'll not treat immigrants any differently then others who were there but still the fact remains the same that Americans do not care about their background if you are eligible than you are.
Ruby Posted on 09-Oct-03 08:10 AM

"This will give lots of hope and confident to all migrated ppl here in US." there are many other migrants here that are moer qualified than Arnold! The only reason he won, is b/c he's from hollywood. Would you vote for an action hero, say , Rajesh Hamal, for Major of Kathmandu? Not to mention he's sexually abused many women AGAINST THIER WILL. I had no problem with him having sex with many women, but to force them, cmon. That guy is a sex offender and now he's governor of Cali?
Bond-007 Posted on 09-Oct-03 08:31 AM

Ruby,

<>

Well Said, Sexual offender belongs to the Prison not to the Governor's Manson!

Rosie,

<>

Couldn't have said better. As far as comarison with Clinton: I heard his was consensual but he lied about it, Arnold's was nonconsensual and he admitted and apologized after 25 years. Let's make our own judgment! Per me both condemnable!!
llcoola Posted on 09-Oct-03 12:59 PM

>>>>The only reason he won, is b/c he's from hollywood. Would you vote for an action hero, say >>>>>
There are many other action heros in Hollywood, why didn't they have any courage to stand up against Gov. Davis?
Don't forget that people thought the same about Regan in the past. Others may be more qualified than Arnold but they will spend rest of their life trying to get fame like Arnold did from Hollywood.
It almost sounds like being a governer is easier than being a hollywood star, coz history has given many politicians from hollywood but none of the politician has made it to hollywood( except for Bush in Viagra ad.)
Ruby Posted on 09-Oct-03 01:42 PM

Arnold is a harcore action hero. All he can do is show his muscles and "pretend" to fight! Puh lease. There are actors who have substance, who can act for one thing, people like Richard Gere and Angelena Jolie. Arnold barely speaks in any of his moveis!
Ruby Posted on 09-Oct-03 01:55 PM

AND HE MISBEHAVED WITH WOMEN. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT HIS CHARACTER? A LEADER SETS EXAMPLES. DO YOU WANT YOU CHILDREN TO FOLLOW THE LEAD OF AN UNEDUCATED MOLESTER?
llcoola Posted on 09-Oct-03 03:45 PM

He is by all means much better than the leaders we have in Nepal. And yes, I will raise my children. I will be happy if my children follow his lead than those in Nepal.
ruby Posted on 09-Oct-03 03:52 PM

OH NO!!!! Thats your choice? If you are only having your children choose bertween following the lead of Nepali leaders and Arnold Swaznegger, then dude you dont have much variety do you? How about exposing your kids to to leaders like Gandhi and Martin Luther King instead?
ruby Posted on 09-Oct-03 03:54 PM

I said "WANT YOU CHILDREN TO FOLLOW THE LEAD OF AN UNEDUCATED MOLESTER? "

you said "I will be happy if my children follow his lead "

i rest my case!

dautari Posted on 09-Oct-03 04:22 PM

>>>>The only reason he won, is b/c he's from hollywood. Would you vote for an action hero, say >>>>>

Well, there is one more reason for his political success ... something stronger than his hollywood status. Don't forget that he is a part of Kennedy clan after his marriage to Maria Shriver. Maria Shriver is niece to John F Kennedy.
