This is what exactly gives Hinduism a bad name. Also, those piss drinkers are pissants too. These stupid ass conservatives are promoting cow urine as some sort of beverage and also as a therapy, because purportedly it has medicinal compounds in it. That makes as much sense as a tangled up hairball. Urine is a waste product anyway. Why would we wanna drink that anyway?

Ciao.

..it's neither superstition nor titilliation...

just a matter of breastfeeding to just born monkey ...the monkey was found in the nearby woods of the village...upon not finding the monkey's parents, humans decided to breast-feed the monkey.

gross yet generous task.

Oh? So it's altruism is it? But then, why don't you explain why breastfeeding was the option they chose?

I think it has to do with the fact that monkeys are seen as sacred animals, and so, we Hindus have a soft spot for them. However you look at it, and even by your reasoning, I think it boils down to superstition in the end.

Thugged out, could not rafrain from answering to some of your misconception:
Starting with cow's urine, it was mentioned in early medical texts to possess medicinal properties, modern science is silently acknowledging it after centuries of refutation.
Cows urine one from a heifer or calf is only recomended and there are many scientific reasons behind it. Among the metabolities that are present in the urine are those that are made more potentiated by biotransformation. Steroids, flavones, polyphenols, pigments, micro minerals are some to name. One other compound that is pumping up the blood of researchers is the presence of mild immune stimulating factor (misf) that can potentiate body's defence by stimulating killer cells and bodies different line of defence (goggle and bmn will be more informative).
So it should not be a surprise if health recomendation in future comes with a pint of heifer's urine or self urine as a part of healthy breakfast in future (please don't castise me for saying so, but with the positive nod scientists are making it cannot be rules out).

Regarding breast feeding, not only in Indian sub continet but elsewhere too they are clearly depicted. What are the names of those two brothers who built Rome, is not there a statute depicting two kids suckling mother wolf. What about Tarzan even though an imaginative figure, there are many examples to trace.
So in conclusion, the role of the women in breastfeeding an orphan monkey is praiseworthy, it would have been much better if colostrum from recently parturated cow, doe or sow was provided rather than from the dried mamaries of peri-menopause women.
