My favorite season of the year has finally started showing its beauty. With the colorful foliage adorning the trees as well as the streets, the tiny squirrels picking up the last bunch of nuts on the grounds and the soft zephyr refreshing the soul, one cant help but enjoy natures luscious marvel. And before we know it is going to last for a while, flakes of snow will start falling only to make us realize that winter is at our doorstep telling us that its time again to pull up our leg-warmers, put on the turtlenecks and stay warm. Well, the inevitable cycle will continue and so shall we as we experience innumerable changes in our own lives. It seems like Sajhapur too has seen some delightful changes on its platter lately. What could be more joyful than to see our very own Nepe ji remove his mask finally!! I have always wondered how those beautiful dancers in the captivating Bhairav-Naach look in real behind those huge devi devta ko masks that they wear. Likewise, I have always been fascinated by Nepe jis mutu chuney ghazals and wished that he removed his mask and posted those gems in his real name. But then I guess the fun lies in the curiosity, and the excitement that anonymity creates. Whats up with the "Sajha" gatherings taking place all around? I missed the one in Nyc and I'll miss the one in Boston And the one in Ktm. Perhaps someday like someone had mentioned long time back about Sajha Convention, I might be able to make it to that one, if that ever happens. I could then play dohori with Poonte and his brother Bhunte, :-) sing with Rusty, dance to the tunes of Kalankis guitar (heard hes a good guitarist), listen to Nepe's ghazals, Deep Guna's stories, watch Jira in his stand up comedy sessions, talk about business with Ashu, politics with Biswo, photography with Arnico, men with Simplegal, kids with Sitara heh heh and the list goes on&.:-) A friend of mine told me that there was a big hoopla in Sajhapur about "my" getting married which apparently was found to be untrue. Boy did I get a kick out of it! How could I get married and not invite you all? Ho hi nahin sakta!! I have to tell you this. I have a big desire to tie the holy matrimonial knot on top of Sarangkot, my favorite spot in Pokhara (which is where Im from) overlooking the snowcapped mountains and the long sacred Seti river along with Panchebaaja. I dont know when thats going to happen but happen it will. :-) And I shall throw a special party for my Sajhaite friends for sure! I guess I'll end my ganthan now. Hope you all have a fun-filled weekend. Seems like Dashain is not over yet for there seem to be a lot of parties coming up. I have to attend a big one tomorrow at St. Cloud State. Alumni jo parein. Cant wait to savor the delicious food and dance till the wee hours of the morning. But before I leave, heres a tongue twister which will really twist your tongue. But you gotta say it very fast. G'luck!! And happy Dashain Tihar to you all! Pitter Patter Bought A Bit of Butter But The Bit Of Butter Was Bitter So Pitter Patter Bought A Better Butter To Make The Bitter Butter BETTER!!

Dilasha, Thought it was a story by you but you were trying to catch up Sajha bus...aba balla janta bakhra khana paine bhayo and will dance if you invite me as in the pic below... On a serious note, please do not attach my nick with Poonte's one. I don't like to be associated with his GROSS personality. You will see why in a separate thread...

>(talk) politics with Biswo, Dilasha, I thought I would be talking movies with you. That is my strength. And your Sarangkot nuptial dream is great. The view of Pokhara from Sarangkot may hypnotize sabai sajhabasi janti:-) Happy Dashain, again.

A well-timed, colorful and refreshing piece from passionate Dilasha. And a delighting note on my un-masking too. Nobody has explicitly asked me how I feel after being stripped of the mask I was wearing except Gokul ji who right away identified the peeda of reaching at the end of something and perhaps Sparsha ji who cautioned Bhunte ji saying a 'life time achievement' award usually means you're done. Dilasha talked about the mask of Bhairab-naach dancers. But I am thinking about the mask of The Mask. I feel exactly what Jim Carrey must have feeling when he threw the mask into the river with determination and kissed his girl friend with his eyes closed. That said, I wonder when will our Dilasha do the same. Seems like she has already began. If I am not wrong, this is the first time she has revealed that she is from Pokhara. Knowing her pharasili nature, it did not surprise me at all that she is from Pokhara, the queen of all cities in Nepal. I am all for anonymity and shroud of mystery. I do not mind if Dilasha throws her mask away into the Seti river before kissing the most fortunate groom of hers when she will be tying the holy matrimonial knot on top of Sarangkot in Pokhara surrounded by Sajhaites janti, as she is wishing. Finally, I join Dilasha to welcome the colorful season of the Fall. There is an eternal love between the nature's beauty and the poets. What could be more exciting than to witness the color of the Falls ? While that is also true for me, sometimes I wonder how should I reconcile with what my scientist sees in those changing color of leaves. He sees a chemistry of chlorophyll, carotene and anthocyanin and a dance, choreographed by the evolution, of genes that receives the signal of seasonal change and commands the plant to prepare to go to a low profile in the winter. Beauty perhaps lies in seeing what we like to see.

Oooooh Jiraaaa!! heard from the grapevine that you're going back home...is that on a permanent basis? well, if that's so, then I expect to see you in a comedy club someday standing like Seinfield, me sitting in the audience applauding you with a smile on my face.
