I have about 2-3 years of working experince. I would like to apply for H1B visa to work in USA in my related filed. Can someone advice me how to proceed? Can someone guide/help me? Askme, I think you should have an employer here in the US who is willing to hire you and sponser your H1B. Other than that, I don't know if an individual can file for an HIB on a personal basis. Probably others with similar visas will be able to give more information on this. Good Luck !

yup u need an employer here, who has to file an application with the govt on your behalf.if the application is approved,u will get a petition, and they will send one to the embassy in ktm, thats if u are innepal.once u get that u apply for a visa ,and if all goes well they should give u one. they have been instances, where people have been rejected at the embassy in ktm, even though there petitions here were approved. good luck!

I know that I need an employee, but how can I get one staying outside USA. I tried lot through Internet (job sites), but it seems that no one cares. Do you know that any company/agency dealing in such cases and file case for H1B?

askme, Now a days, it is difficult to find jobs in US specially for a foreigner requiring an H1B sponsorship. Apply to as many companies in US but also try in other countries such as Germany, Uk etc. Ofcourse, if you are willing to work hard then Nepal is also a good place. I know ppl earning more (comparitive rate!) in Nepal than in some foreign country even with the same degree. You should try to be enterprising and doors will open for you even in the unlikeliest of places. Even Nepal :-) May be you should chat with Ashu, our very own sajhite businessman maker.
