Thanx to all who sent good wishes to prem in his chicago marathon run. Prem finished a very respectable 3 hrs. 15 min., a bit off his goal of 3 hrs. 10 min. (he got a leg cramp at mile 21 and had to slow down). But still he came in #2004 overall in a field of 43,000 runners and #234 in his age group. Also, thanx to the two nepali spectators who saw his nepal flag pinned to his shirt and cheered him on! Prem says that meant a great deal to him to see others from nepal who cheered him along the race course!! Again, our heartfelt thanx for your show of support for your fellow countryman. And all you potential nepali marathoners out there, get off your butts and get moving! We'lll see you at the next big race! |
