To quench my long held curiosities, I ventured upon the area. I had done a quick Google search on M.P. and had been led to the East Coast, more particularly the Philly area. The outskirts of the city, the quiet was dense. As the trees. I parked my oversize vehicle: you know how it is with parking these days, especially when you have a vehicle that is really comfy inside. It was already close to midnight, but I had the rest of the weekend to locate, identify, and possibly get to know him, if that was possible, philosophically speaking. It was to be a long walk back to my vehicle two days later, but I am not sure how I got there is the first place. Did I take a cab? Did I hitchhike that final five minute segment? I don't recall at all. But then there are other details in that same bin. I do remember seeing many, many, many trees though. Many people, many trees. Trees in the dark, people on the dance floor, when the music goes through your body like an electric current, and you wonder, is that M.P. there, or that other one, is M.P. one of those girls that just dropped by from some other college? One of those Wharton guys? That noise in the kitchen, is that M.P.? Or that guy who flew over from the West Coast, the Bay Area, to be particular, is that M.P.? An online handle can take so many offline forms. Is there room for imagination, as in, specific imagination? Is he a freshman, a recent graduate, someone awaiting his OPT papers? Or that guy who will be up until 3 AM discussing his business plan? Or the outrageous drunk? Or the Public Safety people? Byt the time it was time for me to leave - "I might be back for lunch" - I was hoping I would have a sketch: long, unruly hair, dark glasses, bulky belly, sexy nostrils. But nada, nada, nada, none. Neti, neti. He made his sole appearance at the party, but the lighting was dim, and I must have missed him, or he was one of the people I did meet, but could not tell one from the other. Anyways, the search goes on. Back to work.

paramendra Posted on 28-Oct-03 07:35 AM

Hello Sitara. Hearing a thing or two about you offline!

:-)

Seems like we have quite a few common friends, and a few prominent ones. One. Ones.

:-)
paramendra Posted on 28-Oct-03 07:41 AM

"Did you not reallt not find our great M.P. jiu?"

LAX, is this Da Sad One, or some porter at LA airport?

Anyways, short answer: the search still goes on.

I recently tried another search on Google for M.P. but the effort bounced back. The site told me it is going public in a few months -- methinks the dot com mania might be back, though in a saner form, with that -- and any and all information on M.P. is highly proprietary, potentially classified, and definitely private, and so the search engine sent me a private e-mail: not with any leads on the said character -- is M.P. one person, or a clique of people writing with the same alias? -- but with the statement that I just briefly summarized --- I have since deleted the e-mail, for fear I might spread some virus, in the spirit of the Patriot Act, which is like Ashcroft attempting a lap dance on the frontal of the Arab Americans, Read: not sexy.

Paramendra ji,
You collected our secret address and promised to stop by when you come to the East. You are in the area and yet u keep on searching other people. What's up with that? You lost your address book or what? :)
paramendra Posted on 28-Oct-03 08:14 AM

Mitra2. I would really like to drop by. It is just that I move around in a fancy size vehicle -- parking is a major problem, especially in "dense" cities -- and I take time off for such ventures only once every two or three weeks, and especially with my exploding marketing and distribution business, my attention gets a little distributed. But in the mean time I suggest we exchange our phone numbers and get to know each other better. So as to spice up our respective Sajha postings. Have a few Sajha conference calls even. So shoot me an email with your info. Der hai, andher nahin. I will drop by. It is only a matter of time.

phateko_kattu Posted on 28-Oct-03 08:57 AM

alright sitara ji and para ji .lets hear both of you . I am all ears .:0)
paramendra Posted on 28-Oct-03 09:46 AM

LAX. "...if you want you can highlight us on this matter...." The details of the business, it would be inappropriate to spill here. But shoot me an email, we will exchange numbers, and I will place you a call.

Sitara. The list of nice things about me might be short, so don't hit the bottom!

PK. Don't add a B to that name, or you become Me!

:-)
GP Posted on 28-Oct-03 09:55 AM

Paramendra,

First time you came too close to me (about 4miles away), I
came to know late and I thought of meeting you next time you arrive.
But, next time you came, you did not (=want?) let me meet you.

Anyway, it does not matter, I will love to see your name here
in this Sajha.com.

GP. Who are you? Where are you? Before I read the thing, the whole "you came too close to me" got me a little leery. But then I read the whole thing, and I feel a little more comfortable now.
