Alright....ahem ahem...Under any circumstances, I am neither a poet nor a writter; nonetheless, I believe that jotting down a couple of verses in this forum certainly provokes Sajha poets to come out and articulate few verses, along with me. It's been long time since Sajha's great poets have been vanished in space without any trace.. Sitara, NK, Robet Frost, Raju_Npl, Kalanidhi, Zero_Gravity, and others....

Well... for me, fall is a bittersweet, nostalgic season: a time for the year's harvest but also to ponder the coming winter, the metaphorical death act of the world as all goes still and silent under its layer of frost.

fall's foliage
Come live with me and be my love
beneath your colored leaves,
within your dazzling hue.

multihued flora
Come sprout over the hills to mountains,
dales to fields,
with your golden, brown, orange, and red colors.

Cool and crisp breeze
Come waft my obsolete fortitude
with your freshness and flicker,
like you oust the depleted leaves.

Clear and blue sky,
Come adorn my futile life
with your azure luster,
for the serenity and glee.

Now.. go with this flow:-)

SITARA Posted on 16-Oct-03 06:23 PM

Falling!

In a blurring motion, I race,
to capture the hues,
caress the shapes,
keep with the seasons
passing by.

I'm anchored in summer,
reaching for snow,
relishing days
spinning by.

But I am falling,
at the speed of life,
can't fasten my seatbelts,
nor reach for the brakes.
I'm falling, surely falling,
gently falling,
in love!

Wah wah! Rusty ji... you've opened the season for dreaming in words!
Thank you!
Robert Frost Posted on 16-Oct-03 06:34 PM

Oh! dear one, let me hold you,
in the arms of those mountains
in the jaws of those pastures,
gently put you down,
in the laps of those flowery lotus,

Let us all remember,
not all falls are after summer,
not all falls are before winter
My fall will arrive,
When I fall in love with you....

eminem8 Posted on 16-Oct-03 07:33 PM

Fallen I had,
in love so deep
I doubt I will
ever crawl up back.
Thus,
amuse myself these days
with the fall that
comes before the winter
the same fall that hails
after the hot summers.

Fall's in the air,
There's still a terrible winter around me;

Yet I hold an invincible summer in my heart :)
~some dude said that!

These leaves-now useless
Reflecting my past
On the ground-ignored!
Like the ones- still hanging
I am alive-waiting to fall
And reduce to forgotten memory!!

Incarcerating the gust;
the grove calms, relieves - and sprouts
from the rust

Paatali, Sitara, Poonte,
Thanks a lot for your remarks...

Hi there all the poets. Rusty, indeed the beauty of living in New England!

Big oak from Oakland, perhaps,
And the Maple from Canada and Japan,
Plain old - just a tree and "burning bush"
Up my street and curvy country roads.

Some zigzag,
And some with smooth-edged leaves,
Flutter shly with their newly-acquired
hue,
Reminds me of a veilled 'nawa badhu'
Her twinkling sequinses,
Green and red and orage beads -
Sun filtering through.

Chill in the air as it anticipates
Winter barreling down,
Up my street, on the stippled church roof,
And the curvy country roads.

Fall, I close my eyes,
As I take a deep breath,
Inhale your blinding, awesome beauty
With - yes, the chii too.
Let the winter barrel down,
I am ready as I was ready for you.

Fall (its my soul).

Here you come in bonnet crimson
Scarf yellow, tangled up in your green
Unzipped coat still
As if its white and red of your smile unconcealed

A seasonal piper, a breather for the universe
On the way to our gib gnab
Stealing all the souls possible
With the whiff of your perfume
All in trances

The attitude hiding inside your grey contacts
You dont think I see you coming
But I have been plagued by your surmise
From the trails of bubbly mists leaving your
Pierced golden nostrils early morning
As your sanctity abates the sun itself
Painting the low-lying horizon in your image
The Rain is in the air
Of whispers and silent strokes finally in tune
With the pulse of a twosome
For few silent of the night
Before you leave the bag of souls in the cold of hell.

Heavy, dark blue clouds.
The hue of October leaves
slowly getting unclothed.

I never knew
Such colors could be
As those that autumn brings--
Red and Orange and Yellow
And fading Green--
Baring and hiding and baring
The Brown branches
That alone will remain
Come Winter--
The frosty Queen
Will soon enclose
The trees, the land, the streetwalkers
In her mighty cloak of White--
Feast while you can
On the waning splendor of summer
Which now waits on the doorstep
Of short showers of light--
Earth is now dappled with the hues
That nature alone can contrive
So rest awhile beneath the trees
Amongst the rustling leaves
That gather around you--
For in a short while
No longer will they adorn
Your long and winding paths!!
