Simplu, Ke garnu ra timi jasti baini bhayera ta mero man ko gunaso bujhi dinchhau. I don't get mad by simply by pressing anger switch unless it is of a catastrophic scale. But, it always makes me wonder what people do when they get very angry. The purpose of the thread is just to know what do they do when it befalls on them. There must be some better ways to manage anger useful sharing.

I wonder when someone needs my help, he/she knocks me asking for a favor...."dai dai, mero sirman lai joro ayeko chha, hajur sanga kunai wokhati chha ki . Lau na ni juwaiisaheb ko joro kasari tala jharne ho" Tessari kahalidai ayepachhi jo bhayepani sahayog ta gari dinai paryo, hoina ta? I gave them the best medicine I had in that moment. On the otherhand, when the same person is dissatisfied with me for a trivial humour, she just runs to the chat room wanting me as a big criminal and to strike me with kucho, dadu, paniyo whatever at her disposal. Manchhe ta lal lal aago bhayera petikot setikot goda goda samma oochali khoi khoi tyo Bhunte kaha chha bhanera chat room ma hasyang ra fasyang gardai..... I see a big difference between our sentiments--my sentiment to help her to the best possible way and her sentiment for not withstanding a small joke.... iti sri.

P.S.: to add to the above points #14) Curse people, reprimind; #15) Threaten
dautari Posted on 21-Oct-03 09:08 AM

There are some people we should let go of our emotions and express our anger. However, my experience has taught me that throwing tantrums only aggravates anger instead of getting rid of it. Every time I threw tantrums I only made me angrier. It made me angry at myself (for throwing tantrum) in addition to my initial anger (whatever the cause was).

Perhaps, cooling off by letting my mind wander off to something else may be the solution. I don't know. What do you say, Bhunte dai?
dautari Posted on 21-Oct-03 09:09 AM

My first sentence should read : "There are some people who say we should ..."
Bhunte Posted on 21-Oct-03 09:21 AM

dautari, Yes, most of the trivial/ordinary issues are solved with a great success just by cooling off and engaging in something else or letting the ego go away....

Posting someone's baby picture and claiming that that picture is someone else's unborn child and causing the thread to be deleted is not a matter of trivial humor.

Just think -- you have gotten mad. It is really difficlut to get mad realizing that you are getting mad.

Or, keep a peace of paper in your pocket scribbled "I am getting mad". Whenever you get angry, get the chit out and read it aloud. You will realize how difficult it is to get mad, once you know you are getting mad.

not a bad idea bold, especially:

1. if you do not own the house and yet do not have to pay for the damages
2. if you have a great insurance or if you are positively confident that "bhittha" is the weaker one.
3. if you are a masochist
DHANANJAYA Posted on 26-Oct-03 08:31 PM

Dear Friends,

I had been very much angry person in my early life. I could not bear if someone go against me. If somebody senior and powerful person went against me, I used to feel insulted and showed anger towards him in his back. If someone, in my level went against me, I used to abuse him and ended up breaking the relationship but if someone junior and less powerful person went against me, I used to attack him.

I remember my past life: I was so aggressive, unforgiving, arogent, egoist and short sighted. Besides these all, I never said that I am wrong, I always blamed others. I had never tried to harmed others, that was my positivity but I could never excause anyone, not even animals.

Whenever anger overpowered me, I found the cause of it is someone/something outside, I tried to hurt or correct the external things to quinch the thrust my anger. Poor me, could never understand, the problem is within me, the anger.

As I grew up, I started to realize that, anger is not good. I got angry but as the anger went away, I started to regret. One step progress due to mature age. Then, I started to realize that I have to look for the way to eradicate this anger. Whenever I generate anger, I lost the peace of my mind, as soon as the peace of mind is lost, misery is there. I was so miserable.

Luckly I found pure teaching of Buddha in my early age. In my first course, I realize that this is the way that will bring me out of the anger, ie, out of the misery. So I followed it with great enthusiasm, one step I moved ahead, I erease some anger from my mind. More and more step I moved in this scientific path, I come out of significant amount of anger, forgivenes and tolerence got developed to some extent. Now a days, even if I get angry, second person can not notice it. I know still there is anger, but that anger can do no harm. This techinque gave me to see the real root of anger. I found, problem is not outside, it's inside, problem is my anger itself. If I remove the anger, that solves the problem. Nobody can clean up my mind, I have to clean it up on my own. I found the clue and acted accordingly.

I came across with some angry people and i have delt with some very angry people too. I know from my experience and I have heard from them, no simple ideas gonna work when anger overpower you. Anger will never let you be wise to take it as a wrong action. The first thing you will do the same as I used to do, you will blame the reason of the anger and you will keep throwing fireballs until you anger get subsided.

Now we feel we are so wise and think that we have to throw water if somebody throw fire towards us, but in the real situation when somebody throw fire on us, we start to throw petrol, "lets burn together". Let's not roar like a wise. May be some of us will be real wise person. A wise persone will always think that the problem is not outside, problem is inside me. A statement of abuse which makes me angry may not make angry to everybody else, so how the statement be the cause of anger. If it were, everybody should get angery whoever heard it. No! problem is within me. I have anger so I express it and become restless, another guy does not have anger or has less anger so he/she does not get affected by it and remains peaceful. A real wise person will analize like this and look for the solution.

I have delt with some teens they are undertaking psychotherapy like anger management. They give me brief of the trainings, they (trainings) works, they reduce anger, but they supress anger too, they can never eradicate anger. The suppressed anger is more dangerous.

Buddha said Arhat to those who got enlightoned. Arhat=Ari+Hat=Enemy+killer, ie, who has killed all his enemies is Arahat. Our enemies are not outside, they are impurities of our mind which keep bothering us and giving us trouble. Anger is very dangerous enemy ever. The anger used to be known as Dosa in old languages, now a days in the daughtor languages of Sanskrit, Dosha means fault. The word bears the meaning, the cause of most of the faults is anger. If you are angry, that is the testimony of being miserable. Try to come out of it, there is a straitht forward way.
