125 more bodies recovered from Bhaluwang Himalayan News Service Kathmandu, October 22 Police have recovered 125 more bodies of the Maoists killed in Bhaluwang attack where more than 35 rebels were killed in the encounter with armed police force personnel some days ago, sources at the Home Ministry said today. According to the sources, the scattered and decayed bodies were found at Mitheap area of Duderi village in Pyuthan district. Elsewhere, reports from Bhairahawa said three civilians were killed in a clash with armed Maoists at Dhankauli in Kapivastu district yesterday. Those killed in the incident are Ram Rakshak Kumri, 70, Mani Ram Kurmi, 40 and Yadu Nandan Kurmi, 41. The Regional Police Unit Office, Lumbini said the clash lasted for one hour. Some 40 Maoists also abducted one Hare Ram Kurmi, police said, claiming there were deaths on the Maoists' side, too, as the Maoists took the bodies away. The clash with the locals started when the Maoists began firing. Reports from Bhairahawa add that 10 Maoists bombed the ancestral house of Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sharvendra Nath Shukla yesterday at Pharena VDC-8, Rupandehi. In Banke, the Maoists killed RPP leader Kiran KC, who was on his way home at Kothiyaghat. Meanwhile, the Defence Ministry said two Maoists were killed in the Narethati area of Baglung, three were shot dead at Dedhgaun of Navalparasi, two others were killed in Devariay of Kailali and one was killed in Santapur area in Rautahat district. In the clash at Nawalparasi this morning, three security personnel, including one police head constable, were also killed and four seriously injured in an ambush set by the Maoists, a security source said. The killed head constable was identified as Mana Kaji BC of Parvat. Reports from Narayangarh said one Maoist was killed while laying an ambush at Sirjana Chowk yesterday. A Maoist was killed by the security forces at Mangalbare VDC, Ilam, this morning. No casualty was reported on the forces' side.
