One more thing that needs to be on the rule:
Do not write your entire message in Nepali spelled in English. Writing a couple of words in Nepali is fine but it is really hard to decipher the entire post (often really long ones) in Nepali words spelled with English letters.
If you need to write in Nepali, choose the Devnagri script like someone already mentioned above.

Nice, funny points, M.P.

I think newcomers may want to treat Sajha as a fun, enjoyable resource to be tap
into. There are many remarkable posters (and silent readers) here with experiences and expertise in all sorts of areas, and often, they are quite helpful with information.

At best, Sajha is a platform to share news, views and ideas, make new friends and learn from others. At worst, this provides a temporary diversion from real-life ko humdrum routine.

Attacking ideas of other people in a spirit of vigorous, non-personalized debate/kura-kani is one thing.

But attacking other posters in a highly personal manne, directly or sneakily, can only take you so far. In my three-plus years at Sajha, I have seen such attacks fail miserably -- ALL THE TIME. In some cases, they also do serious damage to attackers' own real-life reputation, if their identities are ever disclosed in a verifiably true
manner.

And let;s not forget that the so-called prominent posters did not become prominent overnight here. Most have actually "earned" their so-called prominence, and deservingly so. It's often difficult to take on these folks through 'an anonymously planted character-assasination' route. You can do that, of course, but you will fail again and again.

Also, there are all kinds of people here, pursuing their own version of success and happiness -- whether by teaching kindergarten kids, or by pursuing a doctoral degree, or by washing dishes at an Indian restaurant or by being high-flying national and international consultants or by being stay-at-home Moms . . . whatever.

The point is to CELEBRATE this diversity of backgrounds, interests, passions and experiences, see the best in others whenever possible and live and let live.

Welcome to Sajha, and enjoy your visit to this site, which, I predict, wil go on to l be a major force in how Nepalis worldwide get their news, views and opinions.

M.P. and Ashu. Funny and good point. Occasionally we DO need to welcome newcomers. And especially encourage silent readers to start posting.

BMW, and Kalanki... for me Sajha is a place that challenges my NEPALI skills. I also appreciate getting to read a lot of new original Nepali literature here.

Rosie, I guess I have gotten so used to seeing anglicized Nepali, it no longer bothers me. I am still hoping to to learn to type fast in Devnagari, without having to look at a chart all the time.
Does anyone know of an online site that has Devnagari typing lessons?

Ashish, nice landscape ;) Do beware though that if you post photos that are very wide, they end up making all hte postings on the thread much wider than the screen.

Bhunte. I know you're making a pun on M.P.'s name... but I'm not following what you are saying.
Rusty Posted on 28-Oct-03 05:38 AM

In addition to #2, you can also see how many times users viewed your posting, regardless of responses.

M.P. didn't mean to post your picture in this thread, I guess. Post it outside, creating a new thread; then people will describe you...LOL

Opposite to Ashu's advice,

If you want to rise to top as early as possible, then, attack the establisehd
posters. After a few months later, when new comers come and follow
your method, then, dennounce these new comers, well you will treated
as generous, talent and good guy, because peoples will forget how
you rised to top. If you don't believe, I can give you here some names
who pretend to forget how they rised the current level and they
denounce others attacking them and preach its not a good manner.

Not only males, even some females were so agressively attacking others
to come to top.

Ok, Tips #11: Save a copy of the posting you make, so that if your posting gets deleted by accident, you can re-post it. As I give this tips to others, I must confess that I did not save a copy of my initial posting. I will rememeber as many of them as possible and put them up again.

San dai and TMA, none it to apologize. It's ok to apologize for mistake, but this was a mistake by mistake. On popular demand, an extended version of the posting will be published this weekend.

Untill then, curse me (kaliyug ko sraap laagne bhaye po daraaune :)) and pray for my black beauty, whose start button broke as I was trying to turn it on this morning (it went in and I could not bring it back. Meaning, I can not start my computer unless I find a computer geek (Salaljhit??) to fix it up. I only hope some geek does not enter my system and gets hold of all the naughty stuff I have in there. That leads us to tips #12: Never keep any naughty stuff on your PC. Save it to a disc, so you can carry it wherever you go.

The demand is so high, you have to supply us with pretty good dose of extended version of Tips. eh!!

By the way, too many mistakes by mistake happening to you lately. Don't you think so? First, your posting was mistakenly deleted by none other than San (who never deleted posting by mistake) eh... and now your computers start button, which seem to mistake the direction, eh... Looks like it ain't comin' back for good. Too many mistakes, eh.. sounds like a grand design to me!

TIPS FOR SAJHA NEWBIES

  1. Kurakani is the only section that matters. So venture upon other sections of the site at your own risk.
  2. It might appear that the same few people keep coming back again and again, but let not that fool you. Many many more people come visit the site. They read, they don't write. They bark, they bite. They talk about it endlessly offline. This is the "Nagaland" of the Nepali diaspora.
  3. Ashu and Pachim sometimes get along, sometimes they don't get along. Changing seasons. No news there.
  4. Don't p*ss off San. He could delete your message, your photo, your thread, your entire cyber existence (if, like most Sajhaites this is the only place you go online).
  5. The Sajhaites talk about many things important and unimportant, mostly unimportant, but most vociferously about themselves. Their longest threads are when they start writing about each other.
  6. Never worry about grammar, puctuation, syntax, script, spelling, language, yours or that of others.
  7. Change password and username periodically. Keep more than one username current at any one time.
  8. Be afraid, be very afraid. Sitara is everywhere at the site. :-) (She is quite pleasant actually.)
  9. M.P. is unelected, but he writes with the authority of an Election Commissioner.
  10. NK logged off one fine day, forgot her password, and never found her way back. (Refer above.)
  11. Most Americans get their daily news watching the Jay Leno show, most Nepalis outside the country get their hourly news at Sajha.
  12. The archives are treacherous.
  13. There is a MoneyToNepal.com but no MoneyFromNepal.com, except in rare circumstances.
  14. Banners can be seen floating. Let not that perturb you. Sleep tight anyway.
  15. Beware of the supposed anonymity here. People are known to meet here and get married at the nearest Baptist church.
  16. There is money to be made at the site. Ask for donations.
  17. Don't laugh out too loud. You can be heard across the screen. And smile only gently. Or a few might get scared. With webcam technology et al.
  18. Never, never, ever edit what you might have written. Post at the earliest. The site runs on IST: Internet Standard Time.
  19. Cease other bodily fuctions while at the site, all except those to do with your finger tips. Or you might cause accidents.

NK Posted on 29-Oct-03 09:09 AM

"One of the most interesting postings in a long time" (-San), and I did not get to see it??? Damn!!! [ I wanted to curse, I mean really really curse, ;)] Param+Indra, is that posting M.P.'s or your own creative force?? Where exactly are you now? Is this trucking thing a figment of your imagination or is it happening in real time and space?

I guess one more tip would be relevant:

(Most of) Those who are replying to this thread are not new sajha comers.

Nice job, Paramendraji.
jira Posted on 29-Oct-03 10:30 AM

M.P, Wish I could read your initial posting. Looks like it must be really interesting.

Mero pani Thapthap...

1) Limit yourself to Only one username but it is safe to have few others at the same time.

2) With few exceptions, nobody here hardly betrays you as long as you keep your posting authentic. This is the beauty of Sajha.

3) If you see same username in almost every thread, you can pretty much predict that he/she is talking nonsense.

4) Posting pictures are one of the great ways to allure readers but posting irrelevant pictures only show your foolhardiness.

5) This site allows the use of 'Asterisk', use it whenever appropriate.

6) Participate with an intuition of "I can be wrong", you never have to engage in heated debate.

7) Not posting for a long time won't affect your credential.

8) This site runs under the Fedearl law of Webmaster. He is so far reasonable but do coax him like you occasionally offer Laddu to Ganesh :-)

9) Some threads are designed to create the exponential function. I do not know why?

10) Even If you are pregnent, there is no harm to join Sajha. Taking Sutkeri bida is acceptable here.

11) Always hold your middle finger down in public gatherings. Sajha cameras are everywhere.

12) It is customary to call fellow posters with 'Ji' but not mandatory. I have not seen any username like 'Mu', 'Pa'.... so far.

13.) Enjoy your stay. Welcome to the Sajhaland.

Yes, and to some extent this was the reason I somewhat stopped posting. Too much navel gazing. This Sajhaite is this and that Sajhaite is that. Felt like we were looking ourselves in the mirror too much and talking about it non stop. You know there is a whole world out there! NO?

-Don't forget to disect each and every picture as well as countenance featured within/out Sajha.
-Don't forget, there is a file on you in Sajha archives! ;)

M.P. I was one of the fortunate ones to read your original posting! It was very entertaining.

Paramendra: Good ones. As for being "pleasant"... he he! how kind of you to think so. ;)

don't forget to have a thick and slimy hyde from which all the vituperatives, denunciations, insinuations, and slurs that Sajhapures occasionally hurl at you just rolls off your back leaving you nice and dry inside! A must-have gear I say, if you plan on hanging around here for a while!!

Paramendra, I don't know why you singled me and Paschim out for this.

I don't know about Paschim, but I have no trouble accepting that Sajha.com, with its 4000-plus unique vistors a day, will and can go on just fine without me.

Nobody here is so inflated with importance as to be indispensable. Sure, overt self-confidence is wonderful, of course. But a certain amount of covert humility helps one
to mantain perspective about what is really important here.

At the end of the day, it's not how many debates you win, but how many good, solid new friends that you make. Else, it's too easy to get caught up in the rat-race here!!

First-time Sajha visitors should feel FREE to challenge, modify, debate, add to or even correct any of my or others' thoughts and ideas. I certainly do NOT take others' criticisms of my ideas personally.

On another note, in this forum, I had actually DEFENDED Paschim from vicious attacks (around March/April 2002, as the archives will show), and had received at least two 'thank you' emails from him.

Sure, in the rough and tumble of kurakani, I did disagree with him on certain issues. But those dsagreements were based on ideas and thoughts and NOT personal egos as such. And those disagreements NEVER meant that I ever had to hold grudges against him or speak ill of him in public.

But I fully understand that different folks have different emotional temperatures, and that they deal differently with different issues, and that's life. As for me, Sajha has been a wonderful window to see a microcsm of life itself -- the good, the bad and the ugly.

Then again, let's face it, life is too short to get worked up about 99.9 per cent of Sajha postings!!

So a tip to newcomers:

Don't ask what Sajha. com can do for you,
do it yourself!!

M.P. Posted on 29-Oct-03 04:26 PM

I decided not to recall what I posted earlier. I will just add to tips other people have given. No offense to Paramendra dai or Ashu dai.
--------------------

On Paramendra dai's comments:

Kurakani is the only section that matters. So venture upon other sections of the site at your own risk. Please note there is also a "find love" section

It might appear that the same few people keep coming back again and again, but let not that fool you. Many many more people come visit the site. They read, they don't write. They bark, they bite. They talk about it endlessly offline. This is the "Nagaland" of the Nepali diaspora. No Comments.

Ashu and Pachim sometimes get along, sometimes they don't get along. Changing seasons. No news there. This thing applies to other people as well. Please warned that if you write one sentence on Ashu, expect to hear a lengthy lecture on why Ashu does what he does and everything random thing he can think of while he is drinking his "tato-tato Muna Gold Premium Chiya with 100 per cent cow-juice aka milk" (Ashu, 2003).

Don't p*ss off San. He could delete your message, your photo, your thread, your entire cyber existence (if, like most Sajhaites this is the only place you go online). You know what happened to my first posting, don't you?

The Sajhaites talk about many things important and unimportant, mostly unimportant, but most vociferously about themselves. Their longest threads are when they start writing about each other. Paramendra dai had nothing better to do, so he did a research and published a paper in this topic. Heck, were you paid to this too?

Never worry about grammar, puctuation, syntax, script, spelling, language, yours or that of others. But others will worry about everything of yours mentioned in the previous line.

Change password and username periodically. Keep more than one username current at any one time. Paramendra and Bitchpatrol refer to the same person. When one comes and posts, the other comes and posts immediately. I wonder where BP has gone this time though

Be afraid, be very afraid. Sitara is everywhere at the site. :-) (She is quite pleasant actually.) Please note that there is QUITE before PLEASANT and there is ACTUALLY at the end.

M.P. is unelected, but he writes with the authority of an Election Commissioner. Does this mean my government is sacked by an unelected sixteen-wheel driver?

NK logged off one fine day, forgot her password, and never found her way back. (Refer above.) Ok, this explains why we have so many "visitors" everyday.

Most Americans get their daily news watching the Jay Leno show, most Nepalis outside the country get their hourly news at Sajha. And they vent their hourly anger at Sajha too.

The archives are treacherous. Although seasonal. Fall is almost over, they are up again.

There is a MoneyToNepal.com but no MoneyFromNepal.com, except in rare circumstances. With so much looting by the Maoists, I am sure someday they will be able to give aid and loans to America and the rest of the world at some point in the future.

Beware of the supposed anonymity here. People are known to meet here and get married at the nearest Baptist church. See the "find love" section works!

There is money to be made at the site. Ask for donations. Not until Montou bro comes back, though.

Never, never, ever edit what you might have written. Post at the earliest. The site runs on IST: Internet Standard Time. Save a copy of your posting, if that does not take a lot of time.

M.P. Posted on 29-Oct-03 04:37 PM

On Jira's comments (unless I know you or see you in pictures, no dai or didi will be added to your name:)). Again, no offense!
--------------------

1) Limit yourself to Only one username but it is safe to have few others at the same time. Jira works at the CRS company. :)

3) If you see same username in almost every thread, you can pretty much predict that he/she is talking nonsense. Why, did you post the same thing in other threads too?

4) Posting pictures are one of the great ways to allure readers but posting irrelevant pictures only show your foolhardiness. Install the damn photoshop in your computer.

5) This site allows the use of 'Asterisk', use it whenever appropriate. You forgot exclamation marks. As I mentioned in my first--and deleted--posting, use more exclammation marks than Ganesh's wife would use commas in The Mystic Masseur. Exclamation marks make the argument stronger.

7) Not posting for a long time won't affect your credential. Posting for a long time might.

8) This site runs under the Fedearl law of Webmaster. He is so far reasonable but do coax him like you occasionally offer Laddu to Ganesh :-) With this point in here, your comment is very unlikely to be deleted.

10) Even If you are pregnent, there is no harm to join Sajha. Taking Sutkeri bida is acceptable here. Even guys take sutkeri bida here.

11) Always hold your middle finger down in public gatherings. Sajha cameras are everywhere. You are screwed especially if you are a girl.

12) It is customary to call fellow posters with 'Ji' but not mandatory. I have not seen any username like 'Mu', 'Pa'.... so far. Khimu-ji, listen, this seems to be directed at you!

13.) Enjoy your stay. Welcome to the Sajhaland. NAGAland, not SAJHAland! (see Paramendra's posting above)

M.P. Posted on 29-Oct-03 04:45 PM

On Sitara's Posting. In jest again!
--------------

-M(dot) P (dot) on the M.P. as there can be an identity crisis and/or theft! It's kind of sad when both your power and name goes away.

-Don't forget to start any discussion with "wtf", "you ignorant moron", and label females "b******". Every new poster here know this you ignorant moron.

-Don't forget to confuse vulgarities with "Ebonics" and "ghetto" English. I told you there are some English teachers here.

-Don't forget, making personal slanders empowers the writers and "impresses" the readers. If you listen to me, don't do this. I tried and failed.

-Don't forget to disect each and every picture as well as countenance featured within/out Sajha. Constitution of the SANdom of Sajha 2047 entitled every citizen to humiliate, slander, dissect or analyse anybody's picture.

-Don't forget, there is a file on you in Sajha archives! ;) Cite, wherever you get a chance. And be prepared to be pointed out that you cited the wrong date.

"chowak bhaju pai halnu hunchha ni.."

Well, lax, I don't share your certitude in this matter. In fact, judging from the trend, dai sounds like a bad omen, since those who call me dai are not going to volunteer when it comes to find their bhauju:-) So, I think I better keep some time lax for this job to be done and declare myself a very young promising gentleman who will age only years from now.

M.P. Posted on 29-Oct-03 07:27 PM

Jhuto kina bolne, I have my own reason: when I call other people dai, it makes me feel young. I do not care how you feel being called dai. Aafno gaau aafai banaawou!! :)

Besides, from your photographs that have graced this site at least once, I have inferred--no offense and I could be wrong--that both of you ARE older than me agewise (well, I know L-A-X offline as well).

Again, appearances can be deceiving--I have never sent my photo to anybody and asked how old I look. But (now this sounds more like Ashu dai's "lecture") from your postings, I have rightly inferred that you are way senior to me intellectually. So, when I say dai, do not take it as an address of a 45-year-old women in Hotel Try Again, Argali (I do not understand why these old "waitresses" have to call everybody dai or didi); mine is more genuine.

Biswo dai further wrote, "judging from the trend, dai sounds like a bad omen, since those who call me dai are not going to volunteer when it comes to find their bhauju:-)". Just so that you know, I am a guy with a heterosexual orientation. :) I wouldn't have volunteered anyway. Hehehe...
---------------------------------
L-a-x,

Well, I had decided--it was not a promise--not to chat sometime ago. My installing msn once again has nothing to do with the "find love" section here (correlation is zero).

One more thing, you never thought you could have been blocked for the last 8 months. :)

MP"ji",

When you yourself declare your inference "right" even before writing it down, I have to think you may somehow be correct in your inference:-)

But as someone said somewhere, you ain't gonna be happy when someone says you 'dai', and you ain't gonna be happy when someone says you 'bhai'. So if you are gonna be unhappy both ways, better you be "unhappy dai"[drinking tea that your bhai makes, and watching him wash the dish while you mull about your unhappiness] rather than "unhappy bhai"[preparing tea to unthankful dai ,and doing dish for him in the cold morning of,say, Boston and wondering you are so unhappy forever].

I have not read this whole thread. At one point, I was determined to plough this thread through, but I only hoped I lived longer!

But, I was kind of a guy who loved to call Bhai and Bahini to contemporaries, just make me feel proud a little bit. Once you get on other accepting to your calling them Bhai or bahini, you are kind of free to use Timi, instead of Tapain. That was kind of what I used to think, way back then!

But, during my last visit to Nepal. I met a youngster who apparently came from Pokhara and was flying the same plane to London with me. He was heading London for Undergraduate studies, and he asked for help about his luggage. I offered to help that Bhai -- and you know what? Instead of calling me Dai, he called me Uncle!! Ha Ha!!

San Posted on 30-Oct-03 08:23 AM

... tips continued from the Webmasters Desk

Tip #108: No matter how many mistakes you make, you can email the webmaster to delete it or fix it. But if the webmaster makes one mistake you are free to sing about it till kingdom come. :)

Tip #109: If someone writes bad stuff about you or reveals your identity, you can email the webmaster to delete those postings. Or you may feel an urge to reveal your identity or post your picture yourself using a different username - in which case feel free to do so. When you start getting negative feedback email the webmaster to delete such unwarranted attacks against you

Tip #110: If you see that your posting has been deleted, it is a warning that such content is not acceptable. If you continue to post such content, your login might be disabled. In which case you can either register a new username or send a donation to sajha.

Tip #111: If your cyber character is not liked by many in sajha and if other users start ganging up on you and exerting pressure on the webmaster, your only hope is a donation to sajha

Tip #112: If you try to log into sajha and find yourself redirected to some other site such as an australian court hearing papers, your domain has been banned because of ONE inconsiderate person who just could not fit into the community we have here. In this case donations do not work.

Tip #113: This site is not for sale. Don't waste your time inquiring about it.

Tip #114: Don't expect the webmaster to read everything that gets posted here. Unless someone notifies him or it is outright offensive, chances are it won't get deleted. Plus he doesn't have time to read everything, he's real busy living his cyber existence in the sajha chat room as ne0 - feel free to drop by and say hello.

Tip #115: Sajha is a source of infotainment. Don't let it screw up your studies or other important work (like it does mine!)

Contributions are not required. It only serves as a token of goodwill towards the site.

Some more (rather lame, but hopefully useful) tips:

Tips #14: For instructions on how to manage time, contact San. San is "located" (funnyface, 2003) in Boston. He is located in the net at admin@sajha.com.

Tips #15: Sajha chat is "really lame" at times, as funnyface put it above. Don't be mislead. Some of the people who come in chat are those who have been chating with each other for years and possibly have met each other offline. Think of yourself as an adopted member of the family. If you do not find chat homely, spend your time in the kurakani. No need to know people here!

Tips #16: If you go to your district headquarters to register an organization in your village, your CDO will possibly tell you not to use chandaa as a source of funding for your organization. "It's illegal. You can only take anudaan, not chandaa," s/he will probably say. In this amazing Sandom of Sajha, both chandaa and anudaan work. No minimum limit. No string attached. And you become a life member right away!

Tips #17: If anybody asks you to post your photo in Sajha, tell them that good things take time! :)

Tips #18: Do not get over confused by how you should be addressing people here. If you feel like going with the flow, use the generic "ji". Otherwise, use dai/didi for everybody here and make them feel old. :) You have nothing to lose! As a matter of fact, offending people is one way to get people's attention. Don't try that on me, though.

Tips #19: I just realised that there are some really young visitors at Sajha. Let's keep things to a limit, so they do not learn things before they are supposed to or they are not supposed to learn at all.

Tips #20: The photo section is a time killer. Use it.

paramendra Posted on 31-Oct-03 08:23 PM

NK: "....Param+Indra, is that posting M.P.'s or your own creative force?? Where exactly are you now? Is this trucking thing a figment of your imagination or is it happening in real time and space? ......"

If there is a confusion between MP and me, is that a good thing? Is that elevation of Sajha status? Should I play on the confusion? Is there any way I could hope to fuel it?

So many questions, so little time. So many passing moments. Too much fire out west. Such economic growth: 7.9% jobless recovery, highest in two decades. And I was going to moderate at the Dean Issues Forum on immigration issues. Should you drop by.

Where exactly am I? If only I could figure that out. Where was I? Where have I been? Where do I go from where I might be? How exact is exact? If only I understood the question. Even so, the answer might be hard coming by. But at this point, all hope is lost.

Trucking? What trucking? At truck stops, even at Walmarts I have seen, they have these video games, these giant screens, where you can ride a 18-wheeler with all the accompanying sound and fury, at zero miles per hour in real space and time, but upwards of 70 and 80 in the make believe world. But who is to count all those who pay their quarters for those games? Not me.

Tips #81: You can be as much offensive as you want to be. Just make sure you end your posting with "in jest!"

Tips ko bau Tips: If you take all these tips by various sajhaities seriously, seek help!!

"in jest!" :)
Arnico Posted on 31-Oct-03 11:36 PM

quick clarification: I did NOT direct funnyface away from really lame sajha chat, but from an alternative chatroom whose name starts with "N" that is full of immature kids.

I do NOT find sajha chat lame!!!
funnyface Posted on 31-Oct-03 11:39 PM

hey MP, mind boggling- tummy tickling tips you have got for some poor old newcomer like me ke. and i dont think i will try offending any of the older members . they seem to use words in the most frightful rapier like fashion. so i think i shall just remain myself.im all for peace and quiet.keep posting .like reading your stuff too.
whats a cdo anyway?chiefdistrict officer? chow dog of oman? what?! and im no kid.24 going on 60 at times .
Arnico Posted on 31-Oct-03 11:40 PM

tip #999 if you clarify too often you start sounding lame...
Arnico Posted on 31-Oct-03 11:42 PM

funnyface, he was not referring to you as the kid!
kalekrishna Posted on 01-Nov-03 08:05 PM

And as a run for century of the thread, as a last bullet in the magazine,
If you feel no body is responding to you or not expected attention is being generated, then threaten to quit the forum, mention the Sjhapuris what they will miss if you are not in the scene, then you will find the much needed recognition.
Any real happenings in the Sajhapur and elsewhere is not being quoted, and it must be taken as a mere coincidence.

What about Govinda??

Oooh! My fav. actor. I can watch Govinda movie all day long! He can dance like chayampatti, he can fight like Bruce Lee, he can make you laugh like crazy. ehehh! Haven't watched any hindi movies lately but "Tere Naam" -- Raam Raam! Critics raved about salman khan's acting... harey! Although he was better in second half eh -- Saving Grace!

Last good hindi movie was of course "Lagaan"! Loved that movie, brilliant in all aspect.

Few good hindi movies I remember eh!
Drohkaal -- Om Puri and Nasirudhdhin Shah -- do you want anything else? Although Ashish Vidyarthi stole the show. Brilliant, mindblowing screenplay and performance.

Ish Raat Ki Subah Nahi: Thriller eh! Superb screenplay and direction. A guy has a wife and a mistress. His wife comes to know about his mistress. Tensed and stuck between wife and mistress, he punches a guy who happens to be a gangster(Aashis Vidyarthi again) -- and the story of a dreadful night to save himself, his wife and his mistress starts to unfold with bunch of twists and turns. oooha!

Mirch Masala -- It's better than Mississippi Masala.;)
Bombay Boys (Rated R for language ;))
Hydrabad Blues
Maine Pyar Kiya ehoooo!
and all the Govinda Movies eh!!!

Kalankisthan,

You failed. :) The first tips I posted got deleted by accident. Seems like yours were deleted too. To tell you the truth, I feel happy to see a prisoner right next to me. :)

Funnyface,

M in my alias stands for Misunderstood. :)
KaLaNkIsThAn Posted on 02-Nov-03 07:51 AM

Lol M.P.!
A very important Tips: Familiarise yourself with these three steps before submitting the message.

First of all, click the "Message" box only once. Message box is a large white box inside the light green box.
Step 1: Press control key (bottom left key on your keyboard) and "A" key at the same time. (This will "highlight" your message in blue).
When you see your message is highlighted in blue, go to step 2.

Step 2: Press control key and "C" key.

Step 3: Now submit your message!!

Practice these steps until you are used to them. In case if Sajha throw a fit (Kahile kahi nakhara dekhauche) and you lost your precious posting, just press Control key and V key at the same time and VOILA! You will retrieve your message (only if you had followed the 1-2-3 steps).

The rules of engagement

- Agree to disagree, do not be disagreeable.

- Taking nasty cracks about personal matters, real of imagined, is a definite no no.

- Be prepared to apologize if you are wrong. This is the real test of character.

- All is NOT fair in war and sajha.

Tip #0101: If you don't know several sajhaites in person, don't post.

Wish, this is not true.
SITARA Posted on 03-Nov-03 09:57 AM

The reverse happened to me:

I came to know many Sajhaites AFTER I started posting; 0101 is a null hypothesis! :P

Sorry RBaral ji! ;)

M.P bru,

have been reading this post ever since its instigation, even the deleted part, i was one of the fortunate few to read it. Witty and wildly original. One of the coolest posts in recent times in sajha :).

KaleKrishna Posted on 04-Nov-03 02:51 AM

Yeah new members, pick up this survival tool; don't get too atached to this illusionary world of Sajhadom. One moment they will make you the hottest and most adored next moment they wil not hesitate to call you ardha/pura.

So, take what comes to you in the Sajhadom as your fate and destiny and continue with your karma, i.e dedicating to its upliftment by positive contribution.
lf you have religiously followed every words in this thread, then you are not new member and entitled to add tips for others who are still searching for their username, coz good ones are already picked up.
M.P. Posted on 04-Nov-03 09:22 AM

As I post this message, I am concerned that this poor thread might fall into both "Insider Threading" and "Inflation" categories of Gokul's Thread Metrix.

A few notes, anyway:

--Kalankisthan is a Microsoft Word geek. Do not get threatned by him; he wont be able to trace your IP.

Oys-Chill,

Two things. First, I am flattered. Second, if I am not wrong, your explanation for a sudden dissapearance from Sajha in the recent past has come yet. It's mandatory!! Sutkeri bidaa is not a good excuse, btw. :) Anything interesting going on in that part of the world?

KaleKrishna,

Krishna tells Arjuna in Gita: "Phala maa adhikaar chhaina timro, Karma gara Arjuna!" (not the exact quote). Our new Sajhaities should take that advice.

[Yeti bhanera kabitaa binaa kaa kabi bow garchhan, wori pari darsak laai herchhan ra manch baata bidaa hunchhan. nepathyamaa geet bajeko suninchha.]
oys_chill Posted on 04-Nov-03 09:38 AM

M.P. bru,

I am right here, here here *waving* just around the corner, reading every post with the same enthusiasm. As long as disappearance is concerned, lets just say there's a distraction, a *sweet nuisance* which has blocked my writing abilities in sajha for a while.........its fading slowly but surely, as soon as it vanishes, i shall be back with more memoirs re kya ajha ;)...

.btw, what happened to our Brain Cell Killing Plans?? Nothing interesting in the hispanic ghetto here.... The only famous debate going on for a while now is whether to open a strip bar in the main street...its like saying.....Les legalize prostitution and heroin together and boost up the economy:). Long live the crackheads!
KaLaNkIsThAn Posted on 04-Nov-03 11:35 AM

M.P. said "Kalankisthan is a Microsoft Word geek. Do not get threatned by him; he wont be able to trace your IP. "

oooh! Now where did that come from? I didn't see ":)" or "in jest" to digest that statement. eh! On the top of that, this thread doesn't not even belong to humor section yet, so I took that statement of yours "very seriously". Specially, GEEK part! eh.. Ouch! that hurts!

I was hopin' to buy you a beer, aba paani ko bottle ni kineta mariii jaanu!! Next time I'll ban your ip address, I'll hack it, track it down and sack it! :D:D

(don't take me seriously though, eh... no not the hackin' part, the geek part :D:D)

OYS, is that the reason why the water supply was discontinued in your place?? WONDERIN! eh... (I smell mareko musha) :D:D:D
M.P. Posted on 04-Nov-03 12:04 PM

Oops, my bad, Kalankistan. And apologies. There should be a huge :) sign after "Kalankisthan is a Microsoft Word geek. Do not get threatned by him; he wont be able to trace your IP."

So, that should be:

Kalankisthan is a Microsoft Word geek. Do not get threatned by him; he wont be able to trace your IP :)

I hope you have not tracked by IP yet. :)

Oys,

My roommates are telling most of my brain cells are dead already. For now, here is the link to another medicine I have been taking against procastination. Use only one tablet at a time. The list is long, especially if you consider the archieve section. My favorite medicine is no 8--Irrational Exuberance. It's so much fun to see the thing loading. :)
