ALL DA WAY LAKERS!!!! MAIL-MAN WILL FINALLY GET A RING !!! I m really glad to see KNICKS playing pretty good ball...even though they lost but still....
DWI Posted on 30-Oct-03 01:07 PM

Aakash, wait till McDyess shows up. KVH played real good, ascertains my liking of Spree-KVH trade.
How about Lebron eh? These analysts keep changing their opinions. Sometimes it is Carmelo Anthony, now it is back to King James they are favoring.

I don't doubt Lakers on winning the championship this year. Didn't I pick San Antonio last year? (Okay, okay I screwed on the Yankees pick).
rayy Posted on 30-Oct-03 09:34 PM

how about the other teams in west like dallas and rockets? Have you seen the rockets's game tonight with denver? What do u think about rockets chance this year? I think YAO has improved a lot and rockets have good chance making play off this season.
Rusty Posted on 31-Oct-03 06:28 AM

LeBrown James-- looks like a fabulous player. Is he second Magic Johnson?? I think yes..based on his game style and stats.. Let's see how far he, as a versatile rookie, can carry his team. Let's see if he can maintain his impressive stats.

DWI,
yes, I was kind of impressed to see the Knicks. KVH is playing very good, and Kurt myaan always playing with his vigor... Let's wait till McDyess comes back:-)
khimu Posted on 06-Nov-03 02:45 PM

Are you guyz ready to watch game (Lakers vs Spurs)

aakash Posted on 06-Nov-03 03:50 PM

yes...ready for the lakers game tonite....i wonder who is gonna beat the lakers...damn they look so good...i would be dissapointed if they dont win the championship this year! BTW, 'Melo played real good last night....Lebron is possibly the next Magic...but lets wait till he get to that level...its long way to go!!! I M SO GLAD ITS NBA SEASON AGAIN!!!!! GO LAKERS!!!!
rayy Posted on 10-Nov-03 08:18 PM

hey guys what's upo with rockets? They are doing really good job. It seems like they are doing much better job than everybody expected.
yOuNgBlOoDz Posted on 11-Nov-03 07:34 AM

it was an awesome game btwn lakers n spurs .. double over time.. sa without their key player.. still they manage to stay alive.. just wondering how would the team be with their heroes back on lineup.. n lakers.. after an incridible victory over SA.. they r in streak lost twice.. with hornets .... n them grizziles... that team is comin out hot n wild... lets wait n see wut r their chances...

as bout rockets.. boy boy boy... they doing great job .. i think they stand #1 for allowing ponts .....only 77 pts in average.. in order fo them to make play off.. YAO BETTER SAY>>>>>>>>>>> GIMME THE FAKIN BALL... I WANNA SHOOOOOOT TOO. n take advantage of his height n long hands to grab the board.. esp. offensive boards.. well just waiting for two broda coaches to show their talent tonites.. jeff van gundy frm rockets n stan van gundy frm maimi.....

Knicks: 3-7
Knicks fans: Still hopefull.

We still are waiting for McDyess man and Maciej Lampe. McDyess might come after a week, I don't wanna rush things either.

Knicks are better than the stats they are displaying. They can be real good if they play good transition defense as they have a real good squad of defense men. We have soft players (Houston and KVH), Hustle Players (Kurt Thomas, Harrington) and frankie is playing good. Deke's addition has been great. We just need few good wins now.
Rusty Posted on 18-Nov-03 12:17 PM

DWI, i was almost asking about this thread. Thanks for bringing this up. Yeah, it was cool to see the Knicks, who were down by a few points until third quarter, finally beat the Celts.

I will give much of the credit to Van Horn for how he is playing at the offesive end. Almost 17 ppg and almost 8 rpg... not bad! Tough man Kurt is playing at his best, and I always prefer Kurt as the Knicks player.

Allan Houstan has to be more aggressive towards his offense even though he's maintaining his regular stat. In addition to that, he should at least try to improve rebounds and assits.... He's got the size and strength to grab 5/6 rebounds and 4+ assists.

I am waiting for Mcdayess's come back. Hopefully he will remain healthy for rest of the season. Of course Lampe is a good add.. Michael Doleac should get little more minutes from Cheney.
shiva shiva!! Posted on 18-Nov-03 01:04 PM

Yesterday's game betweem Portland and Dallas was awsome. Nash played great game finally with triple double, man triple doubl of the season; can't believe him playing all across the corner in the court. However, I have to agree that the defense is still lacking in this team even with their 5 STAR PLAYERS.

Let's see how season goes around!
nepal_ko_chhoro Posted on 18-Nov-03 04:05 PM

Lakers still not playing to their potential, but yes, they are/will be great.

Rockets are good but they have not played with that many games with WestDiv. Teams.

Doc Rivers got fired as his team lost for 10 consecutive times. last to Utah. What do you guys think of Jazz. New kids doing good job. They still need to win some road games.

What about Kings, without Chris , they are 6-4.
DWI Posted on 18-Nov-03 05:36 PM

Agree with u Rust Man. Houston is doing a lot and if he can add more defense, he would be worth his salary. He is currently 7th best scorer. Kurt is also among top 7 rebounders.

Shiva, Dallas is definately a team to look for in the west. Nash has the arms to hold the cup. But Lakers are too good this time (mostly because of Payton)

With that roster, they should've won atleast 4 of those 10 games, Nepal_ko_choro. But it wasn't Doc's fault as they aren't a better team. Carlos Arroyo is doing wonders for the mountain team. Kirilenko is here to stay. This young team is a good transition from Malone-stockton era. It would be a surprise team in the playoffs, but not enough power to go past the 1st round.
yOuNgBlOoDz Posted on 18-Nov-03 08:03 PM

DWI broda.. i do believe dallas is a tough n a good team.. but they r like nepal's politics ya know.. always sumthing is missing..

did sumone said.. lakers are best.. them better be coz they fawkin future 4 hall of fame as a starting line up.. but i would love em see loosing n not even make play off.. unfortunately that ain't gonna happen :-(

what the fack is up with minnesota... i thought cassell n sprewell will turn out to be a big help to garnett n they will atleast make 2nd round in play off.. but seems like they ain't yet fit in dat team.. with the system n their role play as a player of wolves...

okie bout houston rockets.. i do believe they haven't YET met them monsters frm west... but yo their defense is gooooooooooooooooooooooood.. jeff do deserve the coach of the year award.. i would be the first one to nominate him.. rockets for jeff is a challenge..

okie ABOUT MCDYESS.. THE MAN.. i been waitin for years to see him play.. n ofcourse we want everyone to be at their best...

utah jazzz.. i have always hated that team.. dont' even wanna talk

alright.. JAY YAO>> JAY STEVE>> JAY MOBLEY>> N JAY HOUSTON

Rusty Posted on 19-Nov-03 07:55 AM

Just a bad news... Van Horn sprains his ankle in yesterday's practice, and they are playing against the Lakers tonight. Well, knicks can not win without KVH. Well, sometimes, luck can favor us; who knows they will beat red-hot Lakers despite their last night's lost.

While talkin about NBA, a quick remark on a Sonics player, "Ronald Murray", who got traded from Bucks to Sonics along with Ray Allen last season. Is anybody noticing this guy? DAMN.. i can't believe how improved he is. Last season from 2 pts in 10 min to 24 pts.. Sometimes, people can't distinguish a gem in the group of stones.

Earl Boykins who is only 5'5".. shortest player in NBA is averaging 15 ppg.

Recon Posted on 19-Nov-03 09:09 AM

Earl is Fast man..!!!

BASKETBALL IS A SISSY GAME ANYWAYS...WATCH SOME FOOTBALL AND DRINK SOME BEERS..
DWI Posted on 19-Nov-03 10:58 AM

Younga som, I also hate Lakers, but they are the best team right now.

I knew Spree is not gonna do too well with the Wolves, in the shadow of Garnett & Cassel. But he will provide some spart at times, scoring season high, as high as 35 points.

Rusty, not sure if Ronald Murray is for real. If he is a long-race horse. Earl sure is quick, which is a requirement for any players smaller than 6'.

Not gonna be a nice game tonight, vs Lakers. Low scoring game, I hope.
NepaliThito Posted on 19-Nov-03 11:41 AM

Hi Fellas.

Just one line.

East or west Lakers is da BEST!!!!

LEBRON COMPARED TO EARVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON!!! Ohh the tragedy...the paaaaain...how a couple eye opening contracts and media hype can do to a young man's career. But compared to possibly one of the if not the best basketball player in NBA history, now that's pushing it. Granted Lebron is a good player, averaging 16 point per game is no easy thing for a rookie straight outta HS, but to compare him to Magic is too early right now. Usually rookies grow and improve through their years in the league whereas others crash n burn, i think Lebron will be a phenomenol player, or else he could be another Darius Miles, or Olokwandi, but i think he'll do good. But you can't compare him to Magic. Magic was also an excepetional tall guard, but he could play all positions, from center to point to shooting guard to small forward n even power foward, n he played them exceptionally. He was good on the inside as well as the outside, his phenomenol scoring was only matched by his unique assists and playmaking, a truly great point guard, the thing with PG is that are the generals of the team, if you got a good PG then he has the ability to make his teamates ten times better, for example that butt munchin basket kissing punk Jason Kidd, cuz of him Jefferson n n richards n Martin are tyte. Now back to Lebron, he's good but he can't shoot (though hes improving, n so far no leadership quality. So please no comparisons to Magic.
Everyone sez this year LAKERS...c'mon guys be original, don't be boring, that team has four future hall of famers, they shouldn't even lose one match but still i don't think they'll win this year, just too much hype n pressure. My pick is Dallas from the west and Minnesota from the east. And my wildcard pick is of course as always the Celtics, who have the potential to win, n of course with that alcoholik Anonymous crew member Vin, there might be a possibility.
So guys please, no more conversations about Lebron n Magic...tsk tsk...next thing they'll be comparing Carmelo to Divac...AARE!

Look at this jhonny blaze talk MAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN..................... keep thinking Minnesota is from the east. Sorry but DALLAS doesn't have the defense to be a championship team. I think KINGS have better defense than dallas considering since they are both the uptempo team. It was a big mistake to ship VAN EXCEL to Warriors i know even though they recieved a younger guy on the trade but Antwan Jamison does not have the abiity to slash defense like VAN EXCEL did. Minnesota is going to be a very good team once Troy Hudson and WALLY come back. I don't think think they can be stopped after that. So basically in the west it's going to be against LAKERS-KINGS-TIMBERWOLVES-DALLAS-SPURS doesn't matter how well other teams are doing now. It all comes to the which team can endure the whole season to the playoffs. For the East it is still out in open. I know INDIANA-NEW JERSEY-NEW YORK-NEW ORLEANS-PHILLY-BOSTON-DETRIOT but i could be wrong since the EASTERN CONFRENCE sucks and are way unpredictable. That's my 2 cents for ya all.

Comment/Critics welcome.

Finally, Kobe and Shaq went back2000,2001 and 2002.

Heres my list goes:

#2:- Duncun & Parker
#3:- Nawitzki & Nash
#4:- Webber & Divac
#5:- kid & Martin
#6:- Iverson & Snow

KHIMU BRO,
If you are reeally watching any basketball you should know that you being lakers fan that it's WEBBER & PEJA not DIVAC.
Rusty Posted on 21-Nov-03 10:08 AM

What's up with Magic!! Damn.. Doc Rivers got fired. They only won against the Knicks; then 11 losing streak! Why is this team so winless even though there are some good players like TMac, Juan Howard, Gooden... Gooden was supposed to play better this season. He's not playing well... Pat Garity is injuired, I guess... They should forget about Hill. Even if he comes back, he won't be as effective as he used to be.

This season, the teams-- which were usually on the bottom-- are emerging on the top this season. I would say this season is something different, based on what I am seeing until now.

Here is my power ranking for this season:

1. The Lakers -- it's the bona fide "dream team." Shaq has to play little more offense and defense as well.

2. The Mavs-- 5 star players!! Antoine Walker and Jamison were good addition to the team.. Walker is playing at his best. They will slowly find their way to beat other powerful teams. However, I really hate Don Nelson's principle of "go ahead and just shoot the ball." He should give more emphasis on defense...

more later....

NO MO ZO

ESPN radio announced today that Nets center, Alonzo Mourning won't be playing in any of the future NBA games due to his health condition. Moruning, who returned from Kidney transplant recently, was signed by the Nets for 4 years deal averaging about 6-7 million a year.
As much as we, the Knicks fans, hated Miami during the Knicks-Heats rivalry, I guess we always had the high level respect for the big Zo. How can we forget that moment when, then coach, Van Gundy was clinging in his legs to stop a fight in the court
.
K-mart might be feeling awful, because of the comments he made to Zo. During one of the skirmishes, Zo questioned K-mart's ethics when K-mart was resting for a minor foot pain (following K-mart's sarcastic laughters for Zo's penalty drills). K-mart then teased him about his kidney ('oh my kidney' and all). Zo commanded K-mart not to tease him about the kidneys and later confronted him in the court again.

Zo! NBA will miss you
khimu Posted on 24-Nov-03 03:21 PM

damn! Kobe is f*cking nasty ya!

love him
Rusty Posted on 25-Nov-03 04:54 PM

Very sad that Zo was forced to finish his career. He was indeed a knick's formidable foe, looking at the past rivalry between the Knicks and the Heat. There used to be a time when these two teams rocked basketball court with a big fight and feud. No matter what.. Zo was one of the vigor and versatle player in contemporary NBA history. I wish for his speed recovery.

I am astounded to see the Knicks' two wins in a row. Wow.. with or without Houston and KVH knicks can win. Go Knicks go........

I am really suprised to see the Magic this season - 12 loss in a row.

khimu Posted on 02-Dec-03 06:07 PM

ya! mail man will get the ting this year, his working damn f*cking hard. Thats what i want want him to do; because of Lakers and i am Phill.

And i like Knicks game too, but somebody please give a call to Dom cheny and tell him to take care of his 4th Q......they are really struggling in 4th; otherwise they are playing damn f*cking goodl.

ya, Spurs ......... don't know i don't think they will this year. "Lalchi" Robert Horry moved there such a lachi ya, But i like him .His the one who saved Lakers many times.

peace of mind

k_loaded Posted on 06-Dec-03 02:44 PM

Big game for the biggest three.....shaq, garnett and duncan.

Shaq....25 pts, 19 boards, 5 assits and 3 blocks against MAVS to follow one block shy of tripple-double game against spurs. and WIN on both ocassion. Did you see him reject Duncan on low post...BANG!!!

Garnett....love to see this guy getting better and better every season. 33 points, 25 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks on win against KINGS on their palace. Add 2 3s made with less than 30 secs to go. Pefect! Nick Name: REBOUNDING MACHINE

Duncan......MVP playing the way he's supposed to play. 47 pts and 12 rebounds on win against winless maGic(ignore first game). Here's a tip from me ........Take your shot duncan; thats when spurs are at their best.

Some observation early this season:

Very impressed the way lakers are playing. Moving the ball well. Players adjusting very well to completely new playing enviroment. Malone...fantastic.(To come out of 16 years streak as the team leader and all of a sudden play a supporing cast...thats a great adjustment to make. Hats off.) Championship is back to Lakers again.

Minnesota will be better and better as the season goes. Garnett and Gary Trent are tthe only players from last year roster. So it might take them few more games to adjust with all new star players in the line up. They are going to be playoff nightmare for any team.

Cant say anything about the spurs right now. They usually look sloopy early in the season but after All-Star break......thats when this team come down to real business.

Kings do what they always do. Fast and furious. Win many, lose few. They will holld home-court advantage in the playoffs. Team to beat.

Mavs ....nah...not this time TOO!. YOU GOTTA HAVE A LEADER IN YOUR TEAM BEFORE you start THINKING OF CHAMPIONSHIP. For me MAVS and CAVELIARS are both getting boring. By the way cuban, who is playing defense???- wanna get some defender.

I feel this year NBA's gonna be more promising aand exciting(the way it looks right now). With teams like Nuggets(leading the division), Rockets, Grizzlies doing so well.......elite teams in the west are going to find it very chanllenging (and fun for us) to find themselves a spot in top eight. Its a thriller in the west the way things are shaping right now.

Sorry folks....dont wannt talk about EAST. Not to offend anyone but just dont click me.
Paccers, 76ers, Hornets are all fun to watch, though.

Just an opinion.
nepal_ko_chhoro Posted on 10-Dec-03 11:46 AM

Finally, East are showing some sign of improvement

What about Raptors.

Still, Lakers is the best.
aakash Posted on 10-Dec-03 02:29 PM

DO U GUYS THINK LAKERS GONNA BEAT THE RECORD OF THE MOST REGULAR SEASON WIN? ...GUYS...i think if gary payton and kobe stay healthy....that day is not too far!!!
BTW, nice try by the KNICKS last night.....raptors looking sharp.....i want to watch the lakers and the kings ...when r they playing ?
