Hi KG, First you check if the mobile is GSM 900 or not. (Dualband in Europe and Asia means GSM 900 and 1800, but I don't know about US). NTC's mobile frequency is GSM 900. Better take a set with Triband feature (900/1800/1900) which will work. If you are under any contract of the service provider, then the set "might not" work. You must wait till the contract period is over and the mobile set is set free for all the network. Or, you could buy a new mobile without "contract". That means, in any case the mobile set should be "wothout SIMLock". Some of the mobiles that work in Nepal without problem are: Nokia 3310, 3330, Siemens S35, S45, Motorola Timeport series, Samsung... and so on. Though it is not so helpful, but you could check the site www.ntc.net.np if you wish. I hope it helped, Best Regards |
