..to those who might not know, Sting visited Nepal last July. He, his son Jake, his friend Simon and his nepalese friend Bobby Sagar visited the city of Lo Manthang, capital city of Mustang.

They were greeted and hosted by the royal family of mustang.

Sting describes his journey in the November issue of Men's Journal. Almost pitch perfect description of his experience and the landscape of Lo Manthang, the situation and people of Nepal, and his love and respect towards Nepal and it's people was worth reading.

For those of you interested in reading the article, I'm sorry it's not available online. You should check your library for the magazine. But Sting's article is worth reading.

The money that the magazine gave him for his article is going towards the development of the old monastery in Lo Manthang.

A generous rocker I say.

We have heard and seen the gateway of India, gateway of Nepal and all. But here below is the picture of the gateway of Mustang located in Lo Manthang, the capital city of Manthang.

Sting's quest to preserve monastic tradition of Tibetan kids

Washington, Oct.28 (ANI): Rocker Sting has donated his fee of a travel essay that he wrote for a Men's Journal about his 2003 trip to Nepal to a Buddhist monk school.

According to TeenHollywood, Sting along with his son Jake and friend Simon Astaire enjoyed the hospitality of the Nepalese royal family.

Sting's travel essay has detailed accounts of his struggle with altitude sickness, a rafting adventure in which he almost lost his finger, exciting helicopter rides and memorable meetings with young monks.

His as yet undisclosed fee for the travel essay will be donated in a kind gesture to the Gompa of Great Compassion Monastic School that is responsible for preserving the monastic tradition among Tibetan children in Nepal. (ANI)

Yes, I remeber reading STING's comment of Nepal in http://www.yetizone.com

What is even more interesting is the internecine fights between Dev Shumshere Khalak and Chandra Shumshere khalak.

The former led by you know mickthesick WHO ? The latter by owner of Baber Mahal Revisited the man Gautam Shaumshere Jung Bahadur Rana in the name of his son Virat Rana, a student of Colorado University, graduating this year. His other son doing architecture in Washington State. I do not understand why such a el richo sends his sons in el cheapo unis ?

I think Gautam attacks the other lunatic with the help of Surya Bahadur's daughter-in-law being the owner of Siddhartha Gallery/Infinity International. The other partner in Infinity International is Prithivi Pandey's wife.

I think Australian Government is going to audit Snowy Mountain Engineering Corporation and its relationship with Himalaya Pandey. I hear Australian Federal Police are going to be involved.

La shunisyos yesta kura Bhunteji. Maile hajurlai choisysa chaina.

I used to remeber a song from a Nepali Nunga baba of the Juna sect. He alwys sang:

Chandra ra Surya, Gyanendra, Juddha ra Dilli
Ye sabai naam madhe sabai jana silli !

Take care Bhuteji

Time for me to drink White Lady that is mixture of Mentholated spirit and milk. That is what penniless Aboriginals of Redfern, Sydney drink.

I feel better now.

No wonder he was wearing those beautiful Tibetan silver bracelent on one hand and two copper bracelets on the other when he came to the Oprah Show last week. I was guessing he must be influenced by Buddhism or the countries either Tibet, Nepal or India when I saw him wear those bracelets. My heart just melted when he sang Every Breath You take and Roxanne and boy did he look so sexy! I still have to read his memoir which Oprah claims to be an open song "it flows like music," she said.
