Hi everyone, Though GBNC's long-time friend, Dilli Chaudhary could not visit Boston this time around, he nonetheless had a productive time in TN, GA and NY. He's also in regular touch with a GBNC Board member -- Prahlad KC. So that's good. For the Kamaiya Mukti Movement in Nepal, the next game-plan is make winning strategies to launch a Jagga Andolan to pressure the government to give out a piece of AVAILBABLE cultivable land to each ex-Kamaiya family so that they can at least build a house of ther own and grow their own food. Meantime, what follows is from a Japanese friend in New York City. --- > > Dilli left New York on Thursday. While here he worked with people at > Forefront (the Reebok's human rights network > www.forefrontleaders.org) and > met and talked with people from Human Rights Watch, Asia Society > (Asian > Social Issues Program), UNDP, Save the Children US, etc., and gave a > talk at > The Center for the Study of Human Rights at Colombia University. > I will send a list of contacts he made, and things to be followed up,> when I > have more time (i.e. next week). .. . . . > I have already sent some news items I had > to Pralhad, and also sent > him > Martin Chautari's email address. > More later,
