This seems like an interesting topic of discussion about how a nepali, hopeful of getting a green card gave away $10,000 dollars to an american guy (with nepali wife) and now does not have a green card nor the money back.

It would serve as a reminder to us Nepali people who are trying to achieve legal status in foreign countries to be careful about trusting others who promise to get us the status for exorbitant fees.

If anyone in legal area can follow up on this case and help out this Nepali Gentleman that would be great.

Hi guys,

I couldn't read that posting, due to some memory overflow error or something like that, but I am curious to read it, since I know one of my villagers whose name is Rishav, a brother of my good friend, who is somewhere in USA. I hope he is not in trouble.(It is kind of selfish remark, as I know there is at least one fellow who got into trouble out there, and is in need of help! So forgive me for this insensitive-sounding remark.) Will someone please post that posting here, or give me his last name too?

I don't know it is not working now. samething happen when i tried to open that thread gain.I am sorry i forget his last name. Hope that link will work soon.

I couldn't read it either. On similar note, there are many instances where sojo unsuspecting peopel got swindled either by lawyer or supposed friends or acquantances. If it is too good and too easy be careful, it probably may not be legit. thing.

Biswo,

If you haven't yet had a chance to read the postings on rmfn.org--- the person is Rishav and lost $10,000. William has come out and given explanations. But maybe sajha members could voice more opinions about it to help Rishav out. Probably he won't get all of the 10,000 but maybe some portions of it wouldn't be bad at all.

I thought not being able to trust people easily is a bad trait.... but not when situations like this happen.

sweetp,

Thanks for helping me out with the link. In deed, it works now.

His name is not Rishav. He had used pseudoname for voicing his grievance and he gave his name in the thread later on. I am really sorry about his situation. I hope some thing works out for him.
