I will seek re-election: Koirala

BIRATNAGAR, Nov 10 - Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala on Sunday said that he could fight for the top post of the party for the third time.
He said this amid growing demand from a couple of central leaders concerning the convening of the Mahasamiti meeting of the party.
Talking to reporters at his residence in the town Koirala said that he would seek re-election to the top post once the general convention is held on time.
Koirala was elected for the second time to the top post in the party during the Pokhara convention, which was held three years ago.
The central committee meeting of the party is taking place soon. That meeting will analyse the current scenario and take the fitting decision concerning the general convention, Koirala said.
When asked whether he was keen to fight for re-election to the top post, Koirala said, the statute of the party does not deter me from seeking re-election. There are certain technical issues involved. But I could still seek re-election on the same technical ground. (yo)

in girija`s case, i think the love is soooooooooooooooooo strong and famous that mahakabi devkota would have written a mahakabya about it!
