Good folks in Chicago! Is there anyone who can shelter me for three nights next week? I have this International Tandoor Chef Congress to attend in your beautiful city. As you correctly guessed, my Indi masta is not very generous with conference allowances. I have to hitch rides and make dos here and there to get by. The good souls at Continental Air have kindly agreed to ferry me back and forth as a charity case. Now I need someone to let me under their roof for three nights. I promise to be a clean and responsible guest. Some misguided folks with an axe to grind have accused me of occasional mild to moderate snoring, but that is all hearsay! I have never heard any thing that could be remotely construced as snoring...so you are perfectly safe. Being the ideal guest, I will burden you the least: I will be out before seven in the morning and back quite late around ten or so. To sweeten the deal, I promise to put out the most magnificient tandoori meal this side of Jhelum! Remember good folks, this is the season of thanks-Giving, and if you remember the short line from back home 'Atitithi devo bhava', I know you will do the right thing. Thing of all the merit you will accumulate... Anyone? Let me know and may God bless your soul! You are from a cold city, but I knew you have warm hearts! Bulls rule!! Thankfully yours, SC

Ahoy mate, It would be in your best interest to post a picture of yourself to go with this request. If you are good looking then some single girl might volunteer. Good luck!

Ah Saroj matey, thanks for the advice and encouragement! I don't have a photo handy, but folks who know me are willing to vouch their bottom dollar that I could easily pass as Hritik Roshan in a dark alley, all you need is a little bit of imagination on the part of the viewer. So, with my 'good look' credentials duly established beyond any reproach, any offers then? SC, some looker

What happened to the YURT you brought back from Mongolia Suvaji? Don't tell me, you gave your last dollar, shirt, pant, sant and tent to the maiyas of the East! :p Yep yep yep! A picture of the alley Tom cat would go quite well with the ad.! Kaash! Chicago is soooooooo far away! hehe! Hey, goodluck and good trip to you, sir.

IF bhai jaan, Thank you for the vote of confidence, I will do my best to live up to the expectatations you have now raised! Sitara jyu, You could say something or the other of that sort befell yours truly while in the land of the hidden dragon and the crouching tigress: as I stood at the check-in counter of the swanky Shanghai airport in just my faithful hanuman kattu and janai dhago, I realized that the Mandarin maiyas proved to be more materialistic than I had bargained for. When I had requested the last one to leave enough in my wallet for the airport taxi, "There is no such thing as cheap love, is there?" she had asked me in utter sincerity as she threw 25 RMB at me. I couldn't figure out if she was being sorry or ironic about it all. Hence all this defecit financing now!
