I'm relaying the e-mail message from Shrawan Nepali about the Himalayan Evening by the Bay Area in San Francisco. If you are around the bay area, it may be interesting for you to be there to attend this Nepali event, which will also help Nepali children in Ama Ghar as well. Thanks.....

:) Bhunte

Dear Friends & Family,

Namaste!

I hope you all are doing well. I just got back in San Francisco area after spending four wonderful months working for our program AmaGhar in Kathmandu, Nepal. All our children are doing well. Thanks to your continued support and love we have been able to provide a home and education to 33 children who live at our home, AmaGhar and 22 other children whom we are supporing through our scholarship program. Therefore, there are 55 needy children under our support umbrella now. We are growing up, a year ago we were supporting 40 children. We could not have done this without you.

When I reported to you last from Kathmandu, we were preparing for our grand opening ceremony of AmaGhar. I am so happy to report to you that it was a mojor success especially because we did this during very difficult political crisis in Nepal. Over 400 showed up including our chief guest Michael Malonowski, the U.S.embassador to Nepal. The Music Benefit Night where some of the most famous names in music business in Nepal participated for our cause was sold out- over 1,000 showed up at the City Hall Theatre! And the Mt. Bike peace rally covering 60 kilometers around the Kathmandu valley with all our participants was wonderful!

I am very happy to report to you that the biggest thing this celebration gave us besides publicity and some money, it has given our program a new status. Our story was covered thoroughly by the local TV networks and newspapers. Shrawan was live on Nepal Television to talk about our program with Vijay Kumar (aka Larry King of Nepal) five weeks ago, you can still get a glimpse of that interview by clicking the following-
