SIMIKOT, Nov 21 - Maoists seem to have no limits of cruelty!
In one of the most gruesome acts, Maoist rebels buried alive a 27-year-old farmer of Pals Village in the remote Kalika Village Development Committee.

According to a delayed report, after abducting Kal Bahadur Budha, the rebels moved him to Seri Village of the neighbouring Madana VDC where he was buried alive in a ditch he was forced to dig himself with his legs chopped off.

Villagers at Seri said that the rebels first goaded him to dig a ditch and then forced him to lie in it. “When he resisted to lie down in the ditch he was forced to dig, the Maoists chopped off his legs and buried him alive despite pleas for mercy,” said the villagers, who were forced to watch the gory act.

Locals said that Budha was killed because his elder brother had a job in police force. The rebels had for long been forcing him to have his brother quit the job in the police force. Earlier, Budha’s wife and his parents had gone away with his police brother, Narendra, after rebels started coercing them also to make the policeman quit the job.

Villagers said that Budha was an ordinary farmer and had no links with any political parties. (yo)

It will not be surprising Mahara releasing another press release that it
was not his party's policy to bury someone alive, and it must have been
done by RNa or Police themselves. Its what Mahara has been doing
for all cruel killings. It shows the difference between PolPot camrades
and Prachanda Camrades.

Talibans did it, Saddam Hussain did it. They did it in Good Fellas, it almost happened in one of the Sapranos episode. And now people are being burried alive in yours and mine backyard.

Folks, I am really surprised by how little attention this thread has gotten. This is the father agenda of all the threads here. And this really isn't about Maoists and RNA or someone getting shot in a combat zone. This is about someone, none politically affiliated indivudual being captured and burried ALIVE in a ditch that was dug by the victim himself. And even worse, it had a large number of helpless audience.

So whose responsibility is it to stand up against such heinous crime? Folks, this is a crime against humanity and we all should act upon such barbaric act in any which way possible. It is nothing but a disgrace to stay silent when such cruelty is enchroaching our society.

God bless!

I agree with intruder. It is also a crime to tolerate injustice.
It looks like after all we Nepalese are a coward race and a few thugs can torture and kill people at their will. I am sure if the thugs had tried to do that in any other place say US, people would not be watching silently.
I suppose that's why people have been able to exploit us and we are so miserable today. We do not stand up against the evil.
