This brings to the conclusion that Prachanda has no grip over his cadres. Don't you think he should resign from his very post on the grounds that he has been unable to stop anarchy, human rights abuse and crime against humanity? Read on.........

Activists out of control, admits Prachanda

The Maoist leadership is finding it difficult to control its activists in the country, UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, quoted Maoist supremo Prachanda as saying, according to the Rising Nepal.

"How could I have instructed my cadres to slit the throats of their own Nepali brethren?" Prachada told Nepal in a meeting in Lucknow recently, according to the daily.

Nepal said he told the Maoists that they were making a grave mistake by unleashing a cycle of murder, violence and terror. Nepal was talking with the reporters in Nepalgunj Friday, after his arrival back from Lucknow.

resign from his position? Does he have one first of all. Its all make belief. I read somewhere that leaders set a an example and I think his "Cadres" are just following their leader. Pranchanda decided that he need not listen to anyone so did his followers now.

In communism, have you ever heard a word resignation?

Should there be word 'resignation', they won't be having dozen
communist parties in Nepal. Well, the lower cadres did not have
chances to go up the ladder of party positions, thus, have to
create another new party. Never expect resignation from
a communist leadership. Its true that some kings in europe
resign from post and hand it over to next generation i.e. to
prince, but, in communism the leader's position are secured
until death.

Friends and acquaintances who are journalists and who file their reports from
Dharan, Sankhuwasabha, Saptari and Ilam and other places say that all things being equal, the Maoists -- who are absolutely NO fan of press freedom -- know how to manipulate the press in their favor.

The Maoists apparently hold press conferences in remote places, treat journalists
"well", serve them refreshments, distribute "press releases" and insist on telling their (one-sided) stories, again and again -- all in the name of druming up "public support"
for their cause.

The Royal Nepal Army, on the other hand, apparently sees the press as a nuisance to be ward off, and gives hell to journalists even when they are found carrying old copies of Himal Khabarpatrika or Nepal magazine.

All in all, when it comes to maintaining excellent public relations through the press,
the RNA seems stuck in a time-warp, from which it is too rigid to budge even an
inch -- much to the distress/chagrin of those who have to support it with their
tax/public money..

Pachanda's remark above, carried by the state-funded The Rising Nepal, seems to have been aimed at creating a subtle distance between the "out-of-control" cadres and their apparently "sensible" leadership.

And whether we like it or not, Prachanda, for his purposes, made an "effective" use of Madhav Nepal to have, in this instance, the press carry [Prachanda's] side of the story, even though, let's face it, in a rigid Maoist "command-and-control" hierarchy, the followers/cadres are trained to take the cue from the spoken and the unspoken words
of their leaders.

Yes, Madhav Nepal and Rising Nepal have conveyed the message of
Prachanda's party's to the peoples. It can be interpreted as
(for the public)

1. It was not his party's policy to kill peoples. It is negative of negative
equal to positive. Thus, it will surely make Maoists and its staunch supporters
to smile at the foolishness of TRN and MKN.

2. It also allows the Maoists to get direct message from their Prachanda
what party policy is there. Whether they will correct or not is different,
but, they got direct order from Party via state owned media.

The Prachanda darshan to Makune and now girija hurrying to get darshan
bhet at Prachanda in his ranch in Luckhnow will boost the blood hungry
Maoists, because it will virtually prove that Makune and Girija have lost
their strength and they are equivalently street dogs who smell foods and follows
the rotten food. They are smelling rotten food in Maoist yard that can make
them survive. King did not give them sh*t, and its the reason they went to
Maoist court for rotten food, what else?

Shame on MAkune and Girija.
