I would like to get some suggestions on display of digital photos on a website. I have digital photos of lab samples which are about 3 in X 4 in in size and high resolution, some over 300KB other about 1MB size. I need to display them on a website in the following way: - size about 1.5 in X 1.5 in - Storage size, about 15KB -Original background of the photos modified to all white and shadow removed - Look as sharp as the photos of product displayed on online stores. Please suggest how I can do that and the softwares I need to use. Thank you in advance. Pravin

PP Ji... I think first you'll definetly have to compress those pictures. Photoshop can do that under the file>save for web and reduce the size of each file as small as you can. You'll have to compromise the quality of each pictures cause 15KB is way too small space. Then you can create the automate for web photo gallery which will automatically save all the pictures as thumbnails. Here you can se the setting (size) and all the pictures under the folder will be reduced to that size. Then use those thumbnails in the folder.I guess it's under File>Automate>Web Photo Gallery. See if it can help. But definetly you'll have to compress the photo first.

PP ji The best software would be to use adobe photoshop. in case not available, basically all screens are set for resolution of 72 DPI (dots per inch). so that means even if you set your DPI at 300, on the monitor its going to look the same. so set if for 72 DPI, that will decrease your file size considerably and if its still too big, make the image size smaller to your desired prererance. you can also optimize your file for the web which will make it smaller. go to adobe photoshop site.
