Numafung, the movie directed by Navin Subba, has finally come home.
It is screening at two cinema halls in Biswajyoti - Jamal , Gopi Krishna Chawel and Guna Gwarko from 5 December, 2003 (19 Mangsir 2060). The premiere show is at Biswajyoti Cinema Hall on Thursday, 4 December at 5 pm.
The film has won several awards, amongst which are:
The Runner Up Best Film Award at The International Film Festival of
Bangladesh in October 2003.
The Public Choice Award at the International Film Festival in Vesoul, France
in February 2003.
It also received much acclaim at the Fukuoka Film Festival in September 2002
and Telluride International film festival In America.
As you are aware, the language medium is Nepali but most are under
the illusion that is an ethnic language film because of the name and the
theme.
Can you help promote the film by e-mailing at least 10 persons
of your family members and friends in Kathmandu and request them to see the
film and also ask them to forward this mail to their friends.

Numafung - One of the few nepali movies that I enjoyed watching.
I am glad it's in kathmandu now.

Do you know if it is coming to Midwest sometime soon? or has it been to US already and done?????? if so i wanna know how i can get to watch it......heard so much about it from friends in the west side.

"Numafung" visited midwest in early summer of 2003. I am not sure if it is going to come back. You should probably direct your question to the producer of the movie.
Ashu dai probably doesn't know the answer to your querry. It is baffling to see how you consider him "the all knowing".
