It had shined from him since his birth When god blessed the world and put him on earth He had that naturally beauty, shining bright In a world of darkness, he was my light. His lyrics and music tore at my heart, Boldly honest right from the start.. He might have been small, blessed with mind, But his genius heart,woke up the blind. He was not only this great rock star that people look for, near and far Everyone assumes he was god, that ruled the earth with a golden rod, ..He was a man, with a beautiful heart.. and the way we treated him tore him apart.. He didn't want money, fortune or fame, and we acted like life was some worthless game. For 9 years, he's been gone, I still have guilt crying for hours at a shrine I built I understand now after we forced him on We made him an idol and now he's gone he didn't force the millions that he lead, Or any of the others, after he was dead Forever my heart and soul drown in rain. Kurt is not a rock star, Neither he wanted any fans, He is just a guy from Seattle, Who defied the rules of alternate bands. The grunge motion started, To reach to the people underground, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Junior, Pearl Jam, Still have the alternate sound. And corporate dazzle, Pulled Cobain in, Used him, mashed him And might have thrown him to bin. And what excuse you will find, If you are high on the dope, Wihtout any reason, You would stragle yourself with a rope. There is no doubt, His lyrics are the best, And stop mocking his forlorn sole by being his fan, Even when he is resting in the chest. He wanted to make alternate a legend, He succeeded in his endeavor, He never wanted a fan following, To whom he would be responsible for. Listen to him laud him a lot, There the truth you will find, Grunge will tell you two words, Whatever, Whenever, nevermind...... And if you love him, you have all the right But beware with Courtney Love She might just pick up a fight :) |

Some of my favourite tracks of Nirvana: 1) Where did you sleep last night (yah baby.!! this has to be the no. 1) 2) Lithium-I find this song simply amusing. An anthem to grunge fans like myself. Yeaaa!! 3) Smells like Teen Spirit. The starting of this song's tone is meticulous. You just seem to know whats coming next. Damn..! the power. 4) Rape me- The first I watched this song was in the Saturday Night Live. The sound the strumming of Guitar of this song, simply astonishing drumming by Dave Grohl. The Energy this song can Generate. No need for a RED BULL. 5) Something in the way-Easy to play, beautiful lyrics, the flow, the sound, ever wonder whats in the way.. 6) Sliver-Grandma did take me home. What a beautiful track. 7) All Apologies-I used to play this song so much when I first started playing guitar. A beautiful lyrics as Cobain goes all apologies. 8) Come as you are-Splendid..Just feel it!! 9) About a girl-Another of the evergreen Nirvana track which Cobain performed beautiful, at the Unplugged in New York. 10) Drain you- And last but not the least, one baby to another says I'm happy to met you. |

Krishna…Some of the songs ur favourite tracks left out…what do u think bout them…. The man who sold the world :Close your eyes and listen to the songs ( what more I gotta say) Lake of Fire: Ever word he sings Wow! Goes straight into ur heart…chusshaa!! The high and low pitches will definitely give u one heck of a goose bumps Plateau: Even my mom enjoys this song Aero Zeppelin: Westlife fan was my best friend, I made her listen to this song… and I tell you It just eat her head out…It was way amusing…. one of the BEST day of my life (wicked me) Serve the servants: great lyrics Heart shaped box:………….AM…………………I……………SPEECHLESS??? On A plain: One of the greatest tracks ……..the lyrics the music……the band effort… “I love myself better that you I know its wrong so what should I do?” Span thru: This song is for the lovers out there….but BE AWARE!!!!!! Hi Kurtsgal! Nice to find another fan of Kurt Cobain as I was his fan from the days when Nirvana wasn't that much exposed. I will tell you one incident. Actually I went to a music shop after my school and asked the "pasaley" if he had Nirvana Bleach album. He just stared at me and asked me, what is the thing called Nirvana. I didn't blame him, as me and my friends used to dig the market to get the latest in Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, NIN, Nirvana and even used to go to Indian market to see if they have any new albums. So the time passed by. And when Kurt was dead the fame of Nirvana pumped up following the smells like teen spirit grandeur. Then I went to the same shop again to ask for his latest album, in Utero. I was simply impressed to know that now, the shopkeeper not only knows Nirvana, the albums he had in his shop had sold out. Well, Kurt Never wanted to be famous so he left to stay away from Stardom but this act of him ironically made Nirvana a posh band in rock and roll hall of fame. Just an incident I wanted to share. Nothing important to heed upon though. :) My favorite tracks from Nirvana (not in order): 1. Negative Creep 2. Molly's Lips 3. Been a Son 4. Lake of Fire 5. Lithium 6. On a plain 7. So very rite harke.....this name kurt cobain got his fame after he died...infact when he died i was studying in class five i had just started listening to MLTR....but after 3 years of his death ...whaaapppp!!!! i found myself....lost...into the real world of NIRVANA......but that did pass my bau's time...every time i put up his poster...my bau wud just rip it off!!aaiyaa!!!!saying that "mareko mancheko photo kanya keti ko room ma rakhnu hudaina" and today at times i see some advertisements....or hear ...a live concert....blah blah blah in a live concert... that does poke me like a f****** .......but i still got this hunch...a mixed feeling bout his death...was it kurt cobain himself...OR????but will my hunch,MF change anything....?? ...comeone kurtsgal u no da ans...........NO.... Kurtsgal... Being such a fan, you should take the trip to the place where Kurt was born, Aberdeen. I went this summer, since I live close ot it. It's a logging, small minded town. Looks realy crap...just frustating. In his biog, Kurt had mentioned about Red Neck people and they do have a lot there. No wonder, Kurt commit suicide cause he come from such a depressing town. |

Hmmmm!!!...Bob Marlery another music maestro....well!! from past 6 years all i did was..listened to nirvana music...read his biographies..bought his books...collected his songs...(i even lit dhoop everymorning hahaha u r a duma** kurtsgal)...(but everything was done silently within myself )bau n ma even got me enrolled in this meditation institute..."na ta padhna jancha..na ta bhat pakauna khali yo khaire jogi ko jhaure geet matra sunchaaaa mero chorile".......about taking a trip to Aberdeen...rite now m in HK sittin on my office chair (this is one that particular day i hate) no work to do.. maybe in near future..i will.. people sharing incident about themseves related with KURT and NIRVANA ...i just feel so khushii... Kurts... HK is too small. I've been there 8 years ago....Kowloon...sucks...too many people...Chinese (Cantonese) are rude and loud. May be U should come to US. I'm also a big fan of Nirvana but Bob is my first choice....Jai Shambu...U know what I mean. |

Lake of Fire, Plateau and The Man Who Sold the World were not written by Cobain. I think the The Man who Sold the world was a David Bowie track and the other two were from Meat Puppets, which Cobain did say in the Unplugged in New York as being his favorite band when he was a Kid. I think he even invited them to play along side him while he sang with a Candle in his hand. But the performance that Cobain delivered in these songs were fabolous, no doubt. |

Damn ! I didn't know we've such freaky fans of Kurt Cobain in sajha. That's right, Kurt's gone but not forgotten, nither will ever be. Thanks to Nirvana for their good job, put an end to a long hair band era. No offense to all those people who like them, I just can't stand their drag-queen look. But their music still rocks!! |
