What follows may be of interest to students, ex-students, well-wishers and friends of Fr. Donnelly, SJ.

I wish Fr. Donnelly a speedy recovery.

Fr. James J. Donnelly will be admitted into B. and B. Hospital in Kathmandu for
total hip replacement surgery of his left hip on December 11.

The tentative date of operation has been set on December 14.
Doctor Ashok Banskota along with his senior assistant
surgeon, Dr. Babu Kazi Shrestha, will perform the surgery.

Back on December 19, 1995, this same two-surgeon team operated on his
right hip. Along with them in the Operating Theatre is Head Nurse Mrs.
Ambica Basnyet, who had performed in the same role with them in 1995.

Looking after his heart condition during the surgery will be Dr. Bharat Rawat,
Cardiologist and Director of Norvic-Escorts International Hospital.

Please do wish him speedy recovery and remember him in your prayers.

My best wishes and prayers will be with Fr.Donnelly. He never taught me in class but he was always there to listen to me and give me suggestions. I pray for his successful surgery and speedy recovery.
