I hear that there are many Nepalese living in Myanmar for over one hundres and fifty years. If this information is true, then this is they largest Nepalese community outside of Nepal and India. I wonder why Nepalese Media never covers about any issues and news regarding Myanmar. Any comments!

First of all your question is based upon your assumption. So before getting the answer I'd check the fact first.

I have heard about nepalis in Burma. I am not sure how large their population is. I believe that at one time nepali had presence in present day Manmyar.

That is true Bob, There is a huge chunk of nepali comunities, with their own schools and organizations. The population of Nepalese in the rural areas is sharply decreasing, while sub-urban population is assimilated with the locals, Indians and Chinese. Most of the Nepalese are employed with the Chinese and Indian entreprenuers and bussiness establishments. No fact about the actual size, but a huge population do exists there and yes true to your saying that no Nepali media do cover their concern, may be just following the old saying "Burma gayene Karma sangai". I've heard of numbers between 300,000 and 1 million. The former from Burmese officials, the latter from Burmese Nepalis themselves. I personally know several dozen Burmese of Nepali origin who now live in Thailand... their total population in Thailand probably approaches a few thousand. Hear fascinating stories from them... especially interesting are their stories of visiting real Nepal... meanwhile, zIon, that was a really rude response of yours.

I dont think so .You will have to apply for visa or even transit visa few days ago.after your application is approved you will be given a visa in the form of sticker . you will have to stick that sticker in your passport when you come to HK .But then you might be denied entry to Hong Kong if you posses nepali pp ,or if you dont have any relatives in hong kong ,or if your huliya is like that of bob marley or if you posses weed . regards

Yes, you need a valid HK visa to enter HK. Getting a HK visa is easy if you are travelling to HK from the mainland. I think, its a little difficult to obtain a HK visa in kathmnadu these days, but I think its easier in other places.

It will be easier to apply HK visa from Nepal than US. If you apply from U.S. Chinese consulate has to contact HK government first in order to issue you a visa which may take months or so. I went to apply HK visa in 2001 from chinese consulate at NY as HK government does not have their consulate office in NY. The chinese consulate told me that i had to wait for at least a month to get visa. It may be becasue i am holding nepali passport.
