in the end saddam had no weapons of mass destruction and when the american/britsih found that out they said the war was to save the iraqi's from saddam's evil. no iraqis told them to in the first place. in the end it's their country. foreigners don't need to stick their nose in to their country's affairs.

Saddam captured. It is good news - he was a evil person, he deserves what comes ahead of him. Most importantly good for Bush - his ratings will soar back again. The media will be used to max just like the thanksgiving trip he made to Iraq. Secretly going to Iraq, bombasting images and clips on Fox, CNN and other medias. Good for Bush means bad for the US and rest of the world. Wish Americans would wake up and look beyond the 9/11 what Bush is really doing poking nose in middle east in the name of mass weapons of distruction that is yet to be found. Hope American people will realize soon all the prisoners in G. Bay in Cuba, how many of them could be innocents. those prisoners could be a repeat in history of the 2nd world war when the Japanese Americans were held as prisoners just bcoz they were Japenese. No German immigrants were treated the same way. wish the American people would really pay attention to media how it is being used by "the Powers" to shape our perception of what is real and what is not real.

This is what I think will happen. It's my sole opinion. Bush rating will go up, Democracts will not have good issues to challenge Bush for the next election. The story about Haliburton charging extra ($61 Mill) will be forgotten. Bush will be relected. America will be in Iraq for a long time all in the name og "Liberating Iraqi". Dumb americans will still believe and stand with Bush all the time.
Saddam will insist on saying that he doesn't have WMD and never had one. If the issue of WMD will become a big issue (in case it comes back with some controversies), America will definetly find WMD after planting the WMD themself in Iraq. Then they will say that Saddam showed them.
I don't even believe that Saddam was captured right at the time when Haliburton overcharging the US army is a coincidence.
What the heck...Only in America...

Wasn't Japanese Americans were held as prisoners to protect them from the backlashes after the pearl harbor attack?

Is America really after WMD? Why not N.Korea when they openly claim that they have 2 of them? Why Iraq who always said NO? Why's N. Korea not a threat compared to Iraq? Is Kim any better than Saddam? Are they really there to liberate Iraqis? Why Haliburton is the only one to get the contract? When did they bid? Who saw them, which TV channel showed the open bid? Why's there always a breaking news whenever Haliburton is in trouble? Have you seen Dick Cheney lately on TV? Who's hiding him? Why? 9-11 and Al_Queda are linked...of course...why not hunt Osama...why go after Saddam? Emminent threat...how do U define that? Who does? For what?
Who brought Saddam to power in Iraq from a thug from the street?
These answers are not answered and that's why I said "Dumb" cause they believe that's on FOX....if U do too...then I'm sorry.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, WE! got him" Possibly the worst, most crass and counter-productive way to announce joyous news. It sends out the wrong message about America and the coalition to the world, especially the Arab world. The caputure, however, does not justify the war at the first place, whatsoever. According to Blair and Bush the war was fought to disarm Iraq of WMD. Eight months on no weapons are found, the lives of ordinary Iraqis are turned upside down, thousands of them have been killed and their country is up for sale. What the Iraqis need now is an immediate end to occupation, not a display of their former leader.
I do hope that he will be brought to the criminal court bounded by International law and will be given a chance to defend himself because, I think we should think where Saddam's support, funds and weapons came from when he was actually committing the worst atrocities for which he may now stand trial.

Yes Japenese American were taken as prisoners, dislocated from their homes, jobs and put in camps in the praries in the west with barbed wire fence. Yes it was backlashes after the pearl harbor attack. but just because America is in war w/ a particular country does not give America the right to root people out of homes and dislocate them. Remeber those people were Japenese Americans not Japenese. Immigration has been the legacy of America and this is what it has stood for since its making. but the bush adminisatration has forgotten that, its too much in haste to make wars lured by oil even in sensitive places such as the middle east in the name of WMD. And Snake i reapeat to this day there are no signs of it.

It's true that Saddam is a mad, cracy dictator. He's a murderer and that nobody will diagree with this fact. What bothers is that Bush administration went to war insisting on liberating Iraq, WMD and all that crap. Oil is what all they about. If they could have been a little bit honest, I think lot of people will go easy on them. Just should say "We need more oil and want to control the OPEC(???)".Hey I would atleast admire their honest and not deceiving the general Americans. America has always made mistakes in the past and lied the general public. Snake should watch "Panama Deception" which is an excellent documentary about America's policy towards Panama and the rise and fall of M. Noreyega(???). What about Chillians and Augusto Pino(???)? Isn't it time for American to learn that they have made more enemies around the world and lied to many of their generations in the name of greater good. America's defination of greater good is screwed up, selfish and hipocracy. More later...

The way amrican news networks showed the humiliating images of Saddam having his health checked by a med assistant is a downright violation of Geneva Convention for POWs. It's a shame that americans news channel, espeically Fox and CNN made a such big hue and cry over the six american POWs when they were shown being interrogated by Iraqi officials when Saddam was still in power. We all know Saddam was a bad person but how one can justify the fact that the US who thinks itself as watchdog for so called human rights and blah blah..., its head of state on National Televison with pride says that if he has his way, Saddam should get the ultimate (death) penalty.
Keta haru ho If i had my way..not saddam but George W Bush would be getting that.

I am pleased that U.S. forces captured a bedraggled Saddam Hussein in his dirt crawlspace near Tikrit on Saturday evening. He had a side arm and $750,000 in the hole with him and was within eyesight of his lost palaces. News coverage showed Iraqis celebrating in the streets.
I'm also glad they're doing DNA testing, so we're confident that we didn't capture Nick Nolte instead.

From wat i know(ofcourse a devil's mind.Point to be noted:Saddam is ny brother...another devil) the root behind the rise of this dictator started frm the dawn of Iran Iraq war.America always considered Iran a threat(i dunno why)and still does.Iraq was not a threat back than.The war started(i guess) over a island(maybe 2 islands).Point to be noted:oil rich islands.This was gifted to the king of Iran(i dunno wat u call them,shah,raja,sultan or watever)as promised by saddam hussein for helpin him crush the rebels(maybe kurdish ppl who were on a dream to make the region kurdishtan).And once the rebels were defeated saddam wanted the land back.A devil he is.So the war was on...on...on.
As a Islamic Nation the west for watsoever reason alwayz considered Iran a threat.So wat they did waz back my brother Saddam.Not just the United states more than 100 nation backed Saddam by providin him with every means of ammunation,bombs watever,watever and more watever...maybe some hot women too.So anywayz the war endedresultinin inppl killed,lives destroyed...heart broken..and both nation totally f***ed up.
The other reason behind the west backin saddam was he was more dumber than i am.He was arrogant,over ambitious and power hungry.Hez speech till date was written by someone else(Bush ko pani ta tyai nai hola...i guess every head of the nation ko testai huncha hola...are they all f**kin dumb or wat?),he would be given the outline of wat he should be talkin abt to whoever had an "audition" with him.C'on dude if he waz to talk himself he would be like "wat the f**k man?"An arrogant,ignorant devil he is.So if an influential western leader told him"c'on buddy u can f**k China all alone",he would be like "yes of course"."You can fight a tiger with bare hand,u r all that brave"..."oh yeah...i once killed a lion with a single punch'.That is Saddam my brother for you.So havin a person like him by your side is always a gain...u pump him and take gas out of him(smelly eeh?).
And one fine day with a biological weapon presented to him by the germans he famously bombed the kurdish and thatt is one f**kin point that Uncle sam is goin after(which is hahahahaha).
So Saddam was gettin powerful day after day(i dunno wat power drink he had for breakfast everyday),and whenever the west tried to poke him,a devil he is, told them to"F**k off".So the west who nurtured him was got mad.
And than business,hyper capitalism,greed...and maybe lust too(Was George Bush Sr. a gay?) frm the both side(Remember Kuwait) made operation "Desert Storm' happen(i would have named it operaion kera kilo 2).The other side is United States.One thing made way for another ani bau ko badla lina chora aayo in the name of liberating Iraqis(Blood for oil) and finding out weapon of mass destruction.Saddam lost..sons got killed and a dumb he was ,instead of hidin in Syria he opted for a hole .As there was no one at the moment to tell him wat to do(his mentors were his enemies now a.k.a the west) and he waz not capable of making right decision as always he did wat his dumb mind could think of..dive in a pit.He waz captured.End of the story.
