Two of the top teams in Cricketing World are going head to head in what is turning out to be a fearsome battle. India claiming a historic victory in the second test, the competition is wide open now and I am sure Australia will come out fighting to revive their dominance in World Cricket. Despite an amazing 500 plus runs in the first innings with a superb double from Ponting, Dravid produced one of the finest, if not the finest, innings that anybody has every played against Australia since they started their complete dominance. Despite having not won in Australia for a decade, India's Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman, capitalized in some rather poor bowling and a beautiful batting condition to once again produce a briliant partnership that took India to victory. The former hitting a spectacular double century, in what once again became, Aussies nightmarish Calcutta. Pakistan and Newzealand gamed a stalemate in the First Test but be sure it will not be the same in the Second Test. Rain, probably saved NZ in the First, when a fiery Sami and an equally effective Umar Gul nearly outdid NZ's poor batting. Only rain came to their rescue when they were struggling heavily. There was chances of Pakistan hint, but what can you do to a nature that sided NZ this time. Captain Stephen Flaming played one of his best knocks, that looked like it was enough, but the fighter Moin Khan, produced his career best 137, with chicky singles, running between the wickets, frustrating NZ and guiding Pakistan to safety. Only a point seperates Manchester United from Arsenal and Chelsea. The gunners are hosting Wolves, with a chance of going to the top of the premiership. Thierry Henry, just failed in claiming a prestigious Fifa World Player of the Year, when he was beaten by Real Madrid's Zidane, but he will be roaring to add to his goal scoring tally. Midfielder Robert Pires is in tremendous form and so is Dennis Bergkamp, expect a thriller. Manchester United's Ruud Van Nistelrooy, tipped many, as the new Marco Van Basten, is getting ready to sign a new contract with the Old Trafford side, and he is been outstanding for Manchester United. About few months back, before Russian millionaire, bought Chelsea, they were in the brink of falling down with debt, but since he took over, Chelsea are getting finer and finer day by day. With newly signed Argentine Hernan Crespo, literally, Chelsea have been tipped for winning the premeirship title. The blues are playing a tricky opponent Charlton.

And not to mention, two giants WI and SAfrica lock head for their second test. Man to watch will be Brian Laara, who recorded 28 runs in an over, the highest in test history. In one day match however, the maximum has been 36 (6x6) by sir Garry Sobbers and Ravi Shastri. Gibbs and Garry Kristein coming after smashed faces will venge revenge on West Indies bowlers. Boxing day, (actually why they call it boxing day?), begins new truck load of exciting different games played in different parts of the world. Happy New Year in advance fellas. kk
