One of the pleasures of living in Kathmandu and posting stuff to this Web site is encountering many opportunities to make new friends and keep old ones. Just yesterday, for example, our Kamaiya-related press conference was attended by two regular GBNC Web site visitors -- one from Washington DC now visiting Nepal for the summer, and the other, a student in Cambridge, Mass, also on vacation in Nepal. And so, the Web, and this Web site, has been great, at least for me, to get to know more people, and to build up a network to do/think about and discuss interesting work and ideas -- both off- and online. But some MBA students in America are using the Web to do what they call "extreme networking" . . . Just what is that? Well, visit this link -- sent ot me by Shailesh Vaidya, a high school classmate who's now pursuing his MBA in Australia -- and see what you think. http://www.fastcompany.com/launch/launch_feature/mba_network.html Enjoy, oohi ashu
