The Thai Justice system does not have a clear set of rules for sentence reduction
for good behavior. This places the life prisoners in a terrible situation
of seeking relief through drugs or keeping 'clean', always hopeful for a pardon
or reduced sentencing for good behavior.

Many countries repatriate their prisoners from Bangkwang.
Sentences in the home country are often (but not always) reduced from the Thai sentences.
There is the additional sense of well being from being back in the home country.

Nepali Prisoners in Bangkwang face their own peculiar racial prejudice from Thai and
other Nationalities. This only adds to the general discomfort of prison life.

I have heard numerous requests from Nepali inmates in Bangkwang, that they be returned
to Nepal, to complete their sentences, whatever they are.

The desired Prisoner Transfer and Exchnge Treaty(PTET) is sometimes referred to as
the "Mutual Assistance Act".

Negotiating and implementing treaty is the main agenda item for Nepali inmates.

TAKE ACTION, call, write and send e-mails to Nepali authorities.

I thought prisons were suppose to tough. I am not in the favor of easing the prison life for the criminals. Its the harsh nature of the prisons that should/will keep people from doing stuid things.
feri why should these prisoners be introducted in Nepal so that there are more criminal activity in the country? khoi maile ta kura bujhina.
